eGo 1000 mAh battery with passthru died

so my battery died last week, i got 3 slow blinks which means the battery died, so im wondering if theres anything i can do with this battery now? Can i put a new battery in it or sum kind of mod that will allow me to continue to use this battery or am I SOL? Thank you in advance.
