Does this battery charge when in protect mode?

I've had this battery for six days and it dies after two to three hours of use.
My 3 month old 900 mAh bats still last eight to ten hours.
It's been charged with the protect turned off several times.
Should I contact my vendor for a replacement?
Has anyone else experienced this?

I am very disappointed...

I'd contact the vendor They should last a looong time I never charged mine with the batt clicked off, always with them in on mode. Could also be your charger Try putting batts in on position and charge for 3-4 hours and try them again

It's been charged with the protect set to unprotected (on mode).
Does it make a difference whether it's in protected(off) or unprotected(on) mode when charging?
They don't have a manual for them. I think I'll experiment and try charging in protect mode.
The protect is a great feature.
It looks like I'll be contacting the vendor, You're right RIMP, this bat should last a realllllllllly long time...

The battery definitely should charge in the "Unlocked" mode and I believe I read that they would charge in the "Locked" Mode but I'm not certain about that.
I would suggest contacting the vendor for a replacement.

They should charge either way and it should reset the "off" battery to "on" when put on the charger.

Maybe a little off topic but, what is protected snd unprotected mode,and how do you change modes? I have 3 ego mega batteries that were given to me, one of which just died and I had't heard of this.

I think he means on or off, protecting the batt from accidentally being on in your pocket with something pressing on the button.

As far as mine goes, when I screw it into the charger, it flashes and effectively turns it on. Every time I take it off the charger, it is always set to operate and I have to shut it off before putting it away.

Doesn't make a difference, the charger will turn it on (unprotected)

I have the 1000mah egos, and they hold their charge quite well (8-10 hrs). Yours may be defective - something's causing a discharge.
Also - can anyone tell me how I can determine what voltage my batts are, and if I have the on/off protective feature. I bought 3 Joye egos from cignot several weeks ago, and I'm sure I have the instruction manual somewhere.
