I'm going out of town in a couple of weeks and won't always have a computer available for charging Ego batteries. My dad (74 yo, you're never too old to try something new!) will be with me and he has an Ego, too. So, I'm looking for something that will charge Egos pretty quickly and doesn't require a USB port. I tried using my USB cable with an adaptor, but it took forever. Maybe I had the wrong kind of adaptor? Any help would be appreciated.

The ac adapter will have to be capable of 5 volts with a output of at least 500mah to charge quickly. The ego battery is 650mah so dont exceed that number for ac charging.

For example, a wall adapter with an output of 5 volts at 650mah would charge the eGo battery in an hour. Simply put, with lithium batteies, don't exceed the mah rating of the battery with the charger. That is why you shouldn't charge regular 510 batteries on an eGo charger because the standard 510's are only rated at 150mah.

Make sense?
