with the sticker & cone on it's a very tight draw, remove the sticker and it's great with the cone. Without the cone the cartos seem a little airy on the ego, to me any ways.

Agreed. If you find you prefer cartos on the eGo, you can also sand about 2mm off the end of the cone to open the hole up a bit for airflow. It's a one time thing opposed to peeling cartos all the time.

I'm vaping a eGo with a Carto right now.

The entire air draw thing depends on the Carto. If the carto is very airy to start with, it will probably be perfect with an unaltered cone. If the carto is perfect with out the cone, it probably will be hard to draw with it.

I also shortend the length of my cone to let more air in. I like it because I can control it by where I put my lips on the carto/cone.

If I put my lips on the end of the cone I get a light airy hit. If I put my lips higher up the carto and touch part of the cone, I get a stronger, less airy hit.

If you are going to use both cartos and carts, you might think about getting a second cone. That way you can have one for carts which is unaltered and one for cartos which has be modified.

I use 808 cartos. The adapters used (510-808) have a screw that allows the user to adjust the airflow. As far as the cone, i used a drill bit and drilled from the inside, and it widens the cone with no peeling paint problems.

I tried a 510 carto and it honestly was not much different. Most times 808's are cheaper, just because they are older and more people carry them, but i am sure that the 510 will drop in price to be equal.

either way, 510 or 808, i highly recommend adding a drip tip to the carto. No juice in mouth after a refill. i still fill my cartos as normal, but instead of the rubber top, the drip ttip goes into place. Some cartos can run hot and the tip keeps the lips from getting burnt.
