I ordered and EGO APV Monday from China and it arrived today. I popped in some batteries and started testing it out. The weight is nice. It is a very heavy little device. It looks nice and shiny and the screen is extremely clear and teh buttons feel nice. I have used it with a single 18350 and stacked 18350 so far. It does what is says it will do. VW, VV and ohm check. My 2.8 ohm vivi's sound like they are frying on the lowest wattage setting but my DCT's and 3.2 ohm ce5's do very well. My standard sized vivi nova wouldn't work without a 510-510 adapter but the mini fit right. This thing is long with the extension piece to hold 2x18350. it supposed to work with a 18650 but i don't have one here to check. i don't see why it wouldn't but you would need the extension cap.

Mine arrived today... Its not bad. But Im not in love either. I have some issues with it. The + button is lazy. Doesn't always click and is loose - but functions. The unit is heavy. My 18650 battery has play inside the tube. Any sudden movements and I can feel the battery thumping inside.

All minor things really... Does it work? It does. Voltage and wattage are great. Built in ohm checker seems to be accurate. Solid, heavy feeling device. 510 connection is straight and airflow is good.

I wont lie. If I handled this 'exact unit' and someone said I could have it for $40, I would pass. The weight and sloppy button is just annoying me too much to enjoy the device.

I'm of the opposite opinion, Disk4mat - for $40, I think it is a steal. VV/VW, with 350/650 split? Plus ohm and volt check? In a surprisingly solid tube? People pay $200+ for that (yes, I know, build quality and all that. But still - for $40?). The weight - part of the sturdiness of the build, IMO. I can live with it.

My 650 does also have some wiggle to it, I won't lie. My buttons are really responsive, though. And it hits like a champ. I could immediately tell the difference from my lavatube when I swapped my vivi over. (On that note, I've tried 4 different standard size vivi's on mine - they all work great).

I'd say if someone is ok with a lavatube, they'd be really happy with this.

I agree CB for the money its a great deal. Im just turned off by the button issue that I have. When something isn't right, price/cost is in the distance. That's just me. I would rather pay twice as much for a working (as intended) unit. This button thing, sadly is a real distraction for me.

I agree the build quality is excellent. Very solid. It feels like you could use it as a hammer lol... Its a great device and low cost. You cant beat that.

Edit: Im just mentally stuck on this button :p Im hoping maybe with use, it will wear in and correct itself.
Update: Seems a couple short strips of black electrical tape inside the tube eliminates the battery knock. The button is working more consistently now but not 100%. If I press it from right to left instead of straight down it will click and pop back up.

Remember something about the EGO APV, you must use protected 18650 batteries in it that are full size. I have one and I am using trustfire 3000 mAh batteries and have no rattling, nothing. Remember, it has to be button top to properly fit as per the directions from the site that sells them.
Why would you use protected in this? It already has short circuit protection doesn't it? This could ruin the protected batts... button top, I can see due to the issue with the springs that some have mentioned, but protected wasn't recommended from several vendors, namely, sunshine from HC - unprotected is what I have heard is to be used.
