I read somewhere on this forum that one can free a sticky ego button by dousing it with a good helping of Isopropyl alcohol. Instead I would suggest using an alcohol dampened paper towel. Sometimes the finger gunk and other stuff can build up around the button and cause it to stick.

To clean the atty, simply blow out the excess juice, soak it in alcohol, swish it around a bit, then blow out the excess alcohol and let it dry over night.

Sheesh, I hope you are talking about a 510 or ego, LOL.

I've been through 4 Ego batts and haven't had one stick yet. In fact, my Ego batt buttons don't rotate. I can feel a stop in both directions when I try. I have one Ego batt that died (light came on, no voltage). I took that one apart hoping to be able to solder a wire inside. The button flange (the part under the hole) is square on one end and round on the other like a "U", like they designed it not to rotate. The flat part of the U contacts the threaded end flange and prevents rotation.

Strange ...
