So about 3 months ago one of my two working eGo batteries fell apart and died. No problem, I have spares. Pulled one out, and it worked perfectly for 2 months.
A few weeks ago I must have dropped it or banged it against something because the firing mechanism is broken. Pushing the button does nothing at all. However, if I screw in my carto, it fires continuously. It charges fine, and I can use it alright--I have to make sure that I don't let the carto fire too long--but it's annoying.

Does anyone know what may be wrong, if there a fix, and if there are any other things I should worry about (e.g. cartomizer will spontaneously combust in my face)?

For the most part I use only one batt now, and only use the broken one when its battery is dead. And I still have 2 spare, untouched batts, so I'm not really worried if this one goes totally kaputt.

I would dispose of that battery as soon as possible. The switch most likely failed due to either a defect or the battery pushing too much current through it, just make sure its not stuck (had this happen). If it pulls a high load from the battery rapidly without being able to stop there is a chance of a disaster happening. I wouldn't want a battery encased in a metal tube to short or get into thermal runaway its just not worth the risk.
