My wife and son have been vaping with the ego-T for 3 weeks and they have not even touched an analog during that time. I don't vape, I quit smoking many years ago. For 20 years I have been trying to persuade my wife and son to quit the analogs, but other than a few failed attemps it was futile. It's the usual story of them trying nicotine gum and patches without success. One month ago while searching for a method to make my own vanilla extract I kept being directed to Loranns flavors and kept hitting pages and pages of ecig links. I had never even heard of ecigs so I started reading all about them. I eventually bought 3 ego-T kits, and it was the best move I have ever made. Our problem now is that the ego atties are requiring too much maintenance, and I would like to get a couple of 510 cartomizers for backup. I believe the 510 carto will fit the ego battery. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have also read that I will need to get some cones and I have no idea what they are. Any advice will be much appreciated, and the 510 switch is not set in stone. We just need something that is more reliable. BTW my wife and son have been cleaning the atties every couple of days using distilled hot water etc. etc.

your best move would actually be to just downgrade a touch and go to regular Ego Atties and carts... if, however you need a carto system, then go to 510 Carto's. The best are the Royal Smoker Cartos (also seen on websites as CE2 Cartomizers)

i won't tell you where to go and buy them... i'm a bit gunshy that you might be an HC Agent... sorry

I'm a big fan of the Boge LR cartos. Not a fan of standard res cartos- they just don't produce vapor and flavor the way a LR does. As far as the CE2's- I'm with Dave on those, I never got them to work properly- they seem to always have that plastic taste and the atty dries out way too frequently.

Lately I have bought some dual coil cartos from Nhaler.com. These things are awesome. They hold double the amount of juice, so I don't have to refill them as often. And they provide more flavor than anything else I've tried. Only problem is they are very low res (1.4 ohm), so they drain batteries really fast.

And as far as cones go- you don't need them. My ego came with cones, and I found they made the draw too stiff so I quit using them.

Don't worry Jay I'm on your side. I don't vape but my wife and son have been enjoying the ecig for 3 weeks now and I think they're the best thing since sliced bread. However, we seem to be going backwards in this country. HC did a similar thing with low carb diets a few years ago, (also known as the Atkins diet). I lost 60 lbs in 9 months and have been able to maintain that loss by eating low carb foods, and it's the easiest and most successful diet I have ever tried. HC clamped down on the selling of LC foods for dieting. The problem was the labeling. The LC food producers were not allowed to mention the word dieting or low carb on their products since according to HC it had not been proven that the diet works. Even though there is tons of info. showing that the LC diet is more successful than any other. Anyway the LC food producers had to pull tons of product of the grocery shelves, and they lost lots of money. Fortunately, I am able to purchase LC products on line and from a store in Toronto. Vape on guys and good luck. BTW if you guys could organize a peaceful march outside HC offices I would be there holding my placard as high as you guys.

You don't have to have a cone one an Ego batt. It just dresses up the look. Some say that it routes the air coming into the atomizer past the barrel of the atty so that you get some warming of the air prior to it entering the coil area.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. sells the cones for about $3. I don't know if they can ship them to Canada, though. They are around the Chicago area.

If you don't like the high maintanance, don't get the CE2's, they are a PITA. The Boge's are a good way to go and most vendors stock them. I personally very much enjoy the cone. The way your eGo-T atty is shaped is the same shape as the cone, it is just a hollow tapered cylinder that screws onto the outside threads, overtop of your atty/carto. Regular 510 atties are much narrower than your battery, the same diameter as the inside threads. I like mine cause now only does it improve the look, it catches any leaks that occur when dripping, creates warmer vapor, and a tighter draw.

I've ordered some Royal Smokers cartos. The one's that don't have any filler or glue, and have a ceramic cup or whatever. Haven't arrived yet.

Anyways, how do people feel about clearomizers?

I've tried the Ego-Tanks, Ego carts, the 510 carts and 510 drip. So far I seem to like the Ego carts the best. Am I crazy? lol.

Clearomizers come apart too easily, but you can make your own with the ce2's. Just pull the guts out and slide them into a trimmed 5ml syringe body.

I also cut larger notches in the rubber cup that fits over the ceramic cup, so there are no wicking issues.

Best vape on a 510 type batt.

I don't maintain my tanks. just don't let them run out of juice in the tank. they wear out. I got 60ml through the last atty and the flavour was starting to drop off. I have tried cleaning methods but it all boils down to they wear out. now I just replace them when they get old. just trying out a low resistance ego t atty this morning that arrived in the mail. have to say I am enjoying them. I'll still use the regular atyy on the cigar because it's so strong, but for my tobacco flavour it has made it even more enjoyable; more throat hit and intense flavour.

I carry around 3 complete pv's at all times with different flavours. I fill about 7 tanks and carry my crap in a little tupperware container (or fill my pockets). I hate fiddling around. Just pop on a new tank and vape. charge when needed.

I strictly vape 510 LR atties with my Ego. I never had a cone with mine and I never had any issues. As for cartos, I've had back experiences with the ones I tried (juice all over the battery no matter what I did) so I can't recommend them. You may like tank mods though which allow you to basically put anywhere from 5 to 30ml of juice into a clear plastic tank which has a wick in it. This keeps you from having to drip juice onto the atty when it runs dry.
