I have an eGo-c by joytech and it works great but, my atomiser seems to have a gummy/gluey substance in the tip of the atomiser. I dont recognize a difference in the hit but but when i blow through the atomiser it feels as though hardly any air flows through it. I was wondering if this is normal in the atomiser or if i should remove it because i could easily remove it with a toothpick if need be.

How To Correct Problems With an Ego-T or Ego-C in 5 Easy Steps.

1.) Remove plastic tank
2.) Remove and set aside cone and/or atomizer
3.) Obtain $5 eGo Vision Clearomizer or similar 510/eGo Clearomizer or tank, i.e. E1 or Vivi Nova 2
4.) Fill and connect above clearomizer(s)
5.) Enjoy drama free vaping with your repaired eGo.

Just about any problem you can encounter with an eGo-T or eGo-C is normal. That's what they do. That's what they are. That's why happy eGo-C owners are either brand new or they've replaced the "tank system" with something that actually works.

As an alternative, while you're still bravely soldiering on in attempt to make a "tank system" work well, you can soak the atomizer in vodka or pure grain alcohol like "Everclear" if you can get it. Rinse under hot water and let dry. The gummy stuff is burnt on juice and that should clear it. It will continue to happen and you will need to clean it off periodically. If you order new clearomizers now, they should arrive just about when you're sick and tired of the drama that comes packaged with every eGo-C or eGo-T.

That's not helpful at all.

It's not pretty, but it's the truth and he may as well know it. Sooner or later, that's what he will do. That's what almost everyone does.

Go ahead and look through this forum. Find the people who are happily using their eGo-Cs with the stock tank system. Now, notice how long they've had them.

Then look for posts from people who have been using them for a long time, more than a few months, and are happy with them. Notice that they talk about having replaced the tank system with a clearomizer.

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who used an eGo-C with it's tank system for the life of the battery. I'm sure those people are out there, but they are a small minority. By the time they typical user has used his starter set of atomizers, he's ready to ditch that tank system and fit his eGo with a proper juice delivery system.

I have made that statement dozens of times and, not once, has any eGo-C user come forth and claim they've used the tank system, exclusively or predominately, for more than the first few months or however long their atomizers held out. Of course now, someone will come forward, but there are always exceptions to the rule.

The O.P. can do it now, or he can continue to struggle with it and do it later. I'm just giving him the chance to save a bunch of time and frustration. A couple of $5 clearomizers can fix every problem that the eGo-C is plagued with. For the stubborn and masochistic types, they can keep on fighting it. Others may appreciate knowing that there is an alternative.

Pulseshock, I was/am an ego t user (also an epower 14650 & 18650).
I'd walk you through the steps for fully cleaning ego atomizers, but you can find a HUGE number of videos here or on youtube. They should give you all the detail you need.
Please keep in mind, though, the law of diminishing returns: what your time and effort are worth versus costs involved in buying a new atomizer, or even a different system to use with your batteries.
Sailorman is blunt, but not wrong in saying a lot of ego users swap out tanks and atomizers for clearomizers or cartomizers.
For me, because I like swapping flavors a lot, cleaning and maintaining atomizers well enough just took too much time. Replacing them was more than I felt comfortable paying.
It came to a head with me when my husband offered to buy me the ego c system for Christmas. The replaceable atomizers worked out about the same cost as one pack of analogs, but still more than I wanted to pay.
Even if you're sure you want to stay with the ego tanks, do yourself a favor and order a few clearomizers and cartomizers (yes, they really are different!) Give them a shot, and remember how little simply replacing them can be.
I will note that I am in my second month vaping with Crystal Clear's resurrectors. They are both cheap and durable.

I havent been using my ego-c long, and I am trying to find a different delivery system, I've tried the clearomizers, hate the things, I get better flavor using the standard ego-c tank, I've tried the boge cartos both standard and LR, and the Kanger horiontal coil cartos, not liking the filler taste, but I like their convenience. I'm still using the ego-c as is, but haven't burned through my attys yet either lol. Once I find a delivery system I like better I will happily switch, I just wish I could find one!

For the OP, soak them in the vodka or pga, it is how I clean mine out, the gummy substance is most likely juice build up.
