Hello, I have been using a standard ego c 650 mah for the last few days and the battery life is real nice, but I have been recharging on my pc and it takes about 5 hours. Is this normal? Is there a faster way to recharge? Thanks

a wall plug charger, how fast it charges depends on the mah output of the unit you plug in.
Thanks, I will try that. I have one that's 5v 0.5a .......I don't know if that will be faster or not
5V 0.5A works OK and is what is supllied with Ego C starter kits. Wall charger is definitely faster.
I have also used a 5V 1A charger(from an old phone charger) and it works OK. No problems with batteries etc. Haven't noticed it charged quicker though.

I think a 240V 5V 1A (1000mAh) adaptor you plug into the will charge twice as quick as your 500mAh output from pc.
Well I tried with the adapter I mentioned earlier and it still took about 5 and half hours to charge. Would I be able to use and iPad adapter, output 5.1v 2.1a ?
That is 'Pushing" alot of amps into a 650mah battery- might work, but will probably cook them quicker too.
Maybe...get a second charger.
Agree with DJ RyckRak ^^^^^^^^^fast charging is not healthy for batts. Could be your charger is on its last legs IMO. They're cheaply made and unfortunately impossible to find a quality eGo class charger. In the past year I've gone through 3.
Thanks guys, it's a brand new charger, not even a week old. Maybe I got a bad one idk. I guess my best option would be to try another one.
I use 650's. 5 hrs. is way long. Have you cleaned the connections well? Have to do that every time. Or get a passtrough like I did.
If you have several things on your USB's, they won't all charge at the highest level, I believe. Computer, or standalone. Many people use a standalone multiport power-only setup.

Unfortunately they're hit and miss. My 1100 mah take about 5? hrs to charge.

I clean the battery and charger with a q tip. And I usually charge the battery when it's down to 20%. Don't have anything else charging on USB ports, and tried plugging directly into the wall and through a surge protector.
The first few charges about 12 hours, but I'm at about 24 hours since my last charge. I'm actually very happy with the battery life, it's just everything I've read tells me that the charging time should be much shorter......and I don't have a second one yet! Haha
Sounds crazy but am wondering "if" you were sent 1000 mah batts rather than 650?
No I bought it in store, and wanted smaller 650 size and it's a little under 4 inches. I'm mostly vaping like I would smoke maybe a cigarette every hour or so for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Lol, might not be a all day vaper yet like some of us. I was excited that my first 650 lasted me 2.5 DAYS at the start! Now I exchange it out for another after 3-4 hrs.

Lol hey I was given a blu kit to start me off and for me the battery life was horrible....so I'm extremely happy with the bat life I'm getting now!!! Maybe I'll start vaping more when I lower my nic from 24 mg.....it's a little too much for me to vape that all day, but I need it right now to get me off those cigs.
