Ego-C + Smoktech DCT = Failure?

Hello everybody. I got a Smoktech DCT V2 3,5ml and some dc cartos 1.5ohm. I filled the first one with some tobacco liquid and put it in the tank, and filled the tank aswell. Waited a few minutes and vaped. Draw is so airy its making me bloat! Vapor is not so good, flavor is kind of decent, throat hit is little. Tried another carto, different liquid, same results. I must say i am using 18mg liquids but the throat hit is barely there, whereas on my ego-c atty i get some more throat hit, although i dont get flavor there.

Why this is happening? I know i am new to cartos but i did everything right, filled up and everything. Also when i fire up the cartos they sizzle too much like they are dry, although they are full. Maybe i can try slotting the cartos with a dremel? I know the hole is too small on these but my liquids are not thick, they are 70/30.

Anybody can give an advice? Thank you.

I am a big time Carto tank guy and use them all the time.

My best advice to you is to put those 1.5 ohm Duel Coils away for now until you get a VV battery and order some punched 1.7 ohm SINGLE COIL Cartos. I bet you notice a big difference and you enjoy this vape a hell of a lot more.

I use the dct also with prepunched 1.7 single coil coil cartos. Mine have 1 hole and I use 70/30 juice. I have no probs but I fill it a little different than most. I don't fill the carto first. Every carto I have used I get the snap crackle and pop plus that airy whistling draw. Just the nature of the beast. I use mine on a kgo with no gurgling at all from the carto.

I have a Smoktech 3.5 ml DCT full of 50/50 juice on a 650 mah eGo-c battery right now. It has the original, tiny hole and I have not had a problem at all, either with the draw, flavor, throat hit, or vapor production. This is the first time I have used this tank system so I am not sure if the others I purchased will have a problem.

For future use, I am going to drill out the tiny hole just a touch, although for this juice it is not a problem. It may be for some of my thicker juices though.

I hear DCTs were not made for eGo-c batteries. Is this true?

Actually I use mine on either my kgo or the twist and never had a prob. I think the basic ego's are only about 3.4v that could be why.

Are you getting any vapor at all?

Did you pre-fill the carto before putting it into the tank? How much liquid did you put in it (the carto)?

I don't mean to appear insulting, but since this is your initial post I don't know how familiar you are with cartotanks.

I got a Smoktech DCT the other day and I'm having the same lackluster performance on my 650mAh eGo T. I've only been vaping for 3 or 4 weeks now, but I love it. So I guess the question is do I spring for a lesser high-voltage mod or do I go for the gold and go straight for the Provari???
