Always go genuine joyetech. I find the vendors more reliable with better warranties and return policies. The quality is much higher with less hassle when it comes to threading and mo9unting of ego designed accessories. You sometimes pay a little more but in the long run it is definitely worth it.
For a list of genuine Joyetech authorized vendors go here : Joyetech brand offline electronic cigarette shops

I always buy my parts from places I have purchased from before. I'll buy some cheap juice to try them out, see how shipping and communication is. If everything goes well, I'll spend a little more next time. First impressions mean a lot to me. I prefer to order from places who can send what I need in the time I need. If you're not sure about a vendor, don't spend much money there. See how they treat you as a small time purchaser of 1 bottle of juice before you spend more money.

Does it matter what twist batteries I get? I know of a couple venders who sell genuine Joyetech. Has anyone tried both, do you notice a difference in performance?

I've been vaping for 11 months and always got the Joyetech brand; however, a month ago I got a 900mah Twist (not Joyetech) from DiscountVapers and I have had no problem with it whatsoever.

I've knowingly bought knockoffs and have been very happy with them but I first researched the vendor. Unknowingly buying knockoffs is a completely different story and a serious breach of ethics on the part of the vendor if they're not stating such on their website. I believe ALL ECF listed vendors should be required to state whether or not they are authorized vendors of a particular product line. Heck if I was a vendor I'd happily display banners on my Homepage stating "Authorized XXX Vendor"...it's a no brainer IMO.

It varies from battery to battery, whether it's genuine Joyetech or knockoff. One of my Twists has a knob that is a little loose, and the other is a little tight. Same vendor, same order. Others have had the same experience. IIRC even GrimmGreen noticed this and mentioned it in his review of the Twist. Lemme check.....

EDIT: Yup, fast forward to 8:45 in the vid.

my stainless twist is rather tight, while my black one is much looser. both genuine Joyetech and both from the same vendor. I really prefer the looser one since my stainless is both hard to read AND hard to turn :D
