I cannot find an answer to this so I thought someone here would know. I have an ego with the screw on charger. I know how it works. Instead of charging at the computer I decided to use the wall adapter. The ego charger light has turned green but the USB wall adapter is red. Should that wall led turn green too?

Idk if this is true or not but I remember reading somewhere to not charge it from a computer or inside your car for safety concerns.
I'm sure someone can elaborate but just thought I'd throw that out there. I could be 100% false.

Rickajho is absolutely right. The light on the wall plug is just a power indicator.
Swoozy is also correct. the power from your vehicles 12 lighter plug that most people use to charge various devices is not regulated as it should be for charging many devices. You need to make sure you use a name brand charger that has the proper electronics in it to charge any device you charge in your car. It is safer and battery life will be so much better.

As for charging it on a computer it's not recommended because they say it could possibly corrupt your computer. I have asked that question to every person I could think of and they all agree don't do it. Since you have the wall adapter I would say stick with that. Once the green light comes on, your good to roll. Good Luck!
There's no problem with using a passthrough in the car, which also charges. I've done it for years. Just make sure the charger is off when the car is off - which is the normal situation in most cars. The car charger should have a light that shows it's active. If it still shows when the car is off then unplug it.
I think the indicator lights are indicators of which way the current flow. Wall adaptors have higher current and most cases it's more than enough to charge an eGo. And since there's no information in the batteries for the computer to know how much current the batteries need, the current is quite likely to be insufficient. Speaking of experience.
