The charger with my new ego kit seems to have a problem. The green light stayes on even without a

battery on it. When I put a battery on it, the battery blinks a few times, but the light stayes green. I

do not know if it is charging the battery yet. This is the first time I have tried to charging one. One of

my kits battery was DOA and I have a new one on the way. Do you think this charger should be

exchanged? Thanks for any inut.

My ego charger does that sometimes if the connection plate is dirty. If wiping it with something doesn't help (the charger plate and battery end) I would ask for a replacement. It's a small thing for the LED not to change colour but it could be an indication that there's more wrong with it. Most chargers are guaranteed for longer than batteries so I'm sure they'd replace it for you but it's up to you if you want to do it.

Kkoger, it is normal for the charger to stay green when there is no battery attached to it. What should happen is that it starts green and when you screw the battery on, the battery blinks (mine is 5 times) and the charger turns to red.

With the Ego batterys, the red light will blink every few seconds while charging. With my Riva batteries, it stays a steady red.

It is possible that your battery is already fully charged and that is why the charger doesn't go red.

Try using the battery for 20 minutes or so and plug it in again to see if it takes a charge.

I find it works better to screw the battery on the charger, then plug the charger in to the electric socket.

And as leftfield has already said, make sure the connections are clean and free of any nic juice.

Hope that works for you.
