Hello All! I just received two brand new eGo-CTwist 1100 mah batteries the other day. So, yesterday, I try the first one out and I'm having myself a good old time, and then the light starts blinking on the battery, and I can't get a hit anymore. Hmm....I switch tanks, and still can't get a draw. So, I'm thinking....damn, I guess it wasn't fully charged. I put it on the charger, and the charger is green like the battery has a charge.

So, today, I try out the other one. I vape for a little bit, and then it does the same thing. These batteries are brand new. Any ideas? I'm NOT a happy camper right now.

Loosen the tank just a little and it will most likely solve your problem. A lot of times the 510 pin will become compressed and cause the problem. If you have a beauty ring tighten it to the bottom of the tank to stop it from wobbling.

I have to do this with my kanger tanks but other then that they work great. It happens when the tank is screwed on a little to tight.

If the charger LED remains green when you connect the battery and the fire button on the Twist does not blink several times when connected to the charger - for whatever reason your battery is not making contact with the charger.

Is the fire button on either battery doing nothing at all when connected to a powered up charger?

The fire button is not doing anything when hooked up to the charger, but the box is showing green like the battery is fully charged.

I just put another tank on one of them, and this time I put it looser. I got one drag off it, and then on the next drag, it promptly went back to blinking again.

You may have screwed your tank on too tightly, which depressed the center pin to the point that it is causing a short in the battery. This would prevent it from firing or charging. Grab a toothpick or a jeweler's screwdriver and work the center pin up a little.

Absolutely!

By giminy, I think you may have well hit upon the problem. I looked at those batteries as compared to my other batteries, and the center pins do appear to be depressed. Now the trick is going to be to find the right sized tool. I've already hunted in the break room for toothpicks......NOT.....I doubt if any of the mechanics here have anything that small. Hmmm......maybe the avionics guy will have a small tool.

You may have a connectivity problem, quite common with certain atties and batteries. if that's tha problem, grab a few of those spacers--they are wonderful and fix the problem. Just drop one into the 510 well and you're done.

A tiny screwdriver, a tip of a knife, an unfolded paper clip, they all work--don't ask me how I know that. ;)

Just be careful--that pin is attached to the internal circuitry and you don't want to sever any wires.

You just want to to raise it a hair.

I guess I'm going to have to try the spacers because at this point nothing else has worked, and those batteries are brand new. Thank you all so much for your help!!

How many different toppers do you have and have tried to use on your batteries? Maybe there is something else going on? If they are brand new, you could ask to for a replacement. In the meantime, you can get a disposable from a gas station--like Enjoy.

What kind of toppers are you using?

Other than that, I agree with Spaceballs--it sounds like you may have pushed that pin down when you tried to tighten the head too vigorously onto your battery.

That's what it's supposed to do, the light on the button will go off when it's full charged and the light on the charger will be green.

Regardless of the battery charge state, when the battery is initially connected to a powered charger the battery LED will blink several times to indicate it has established a connection to the charger. If the battery LED doesn't blink at all it has not made an electrical connection.

True that.

Those batteries and chargers can be temperamental. Sometimes it helps to "reboot" them. Just unplug everything--unplug your wall adapter, USB charger, power off your battery and then reassemble everything. Usually this simple action helps when your charger is not behaving as it should.

And keep the threads and center pins clean--just wipe them with a cotton cloth or a soft toothbrush dipped in 91% isopropyl alcohol--both on the charger and the battery. If you have a lot dried up juice on your pins you may have connectivity problems--but not on brand new batteries.

Since I am on work location, I'm rather stuck at the moment as to what I can do to correct this problem. I've come to the conclusion that I had the wrong kind of clearomizer on the battery. Still, I can't get them to work even after trying all the suggestions here. Thank goodness they are not the only batteries I have with me, but still I'm bummed because at the very beginning, they were giving me a great vape.

What kind of clearomizer are you using? Any 510 and/or eGo threaded topper should work.
