eGo E-Cigs

Hi guys,

After lurking around the forums for a while... I think I'm ready to make a purchase!

I want to go with eGo. Only thing that worries me a bit is the many posts on how it may leak... But weighing the pros/cons, I believe this is the best choice for me...

I'm creating this post so that others can hopefully chime in and let me know what they think. And more importantly, where is the best place to buy it! I'm willing to spend the money as I would rather get a GOOD quality system, rather than having to replace it down the road.

I'm going to buy the starting kit. But any suggestions on what else I should be buying? This is going to be my first ecig ever. Thanks guys!

buy some lr boge cartos with it. you will drop the tanks in no time for the cartos my two . however if you seem to like the tanks and by some miracle they work for you and they keep you off analogs, stick with them. whatever keeps you off the bad stuff. also get a 1100mah ego. dont go for the 650mah, 1100 will last you a lot longer usage wise also the 1100mah is 3.7v.

better yet go for the vv ego battery all though i have been seeing they arent doing to well.

It's the tanks that leak. IMO the tanks are a waste. The ego battery is a good Battery. Get some Boge 2.0 cartos.
My wife has the ego 1000 mAh Bats with the 2.0 oHm cartos and is happy.

I used an ego in the beginning altho I never did the tanks. I used cartomizers or ce2's and it is a great starter setup.

I just got a ego-T Mega and no problems yet. You get five tanks. So when one starts to leak you can go for another. You can also get soft tops for the tanks that seems to stop leaking issues due to tank wear. I'm sure someone who knows a bit more will chime in. I carried mine all day at work no leaking. I got the 1000mah batts and charged one yesterday. I've been heavy vaping it all from 8pm-1am, then all day today still going on it now.

The main thing is that you switch from regular cigarettes. If the eGo manages to help you do that it will be worth its weight in gold. Having said that, my vote would be for anything except the Ego. Just my 2 cents.

I was just looking at the eGO-C. I guess they're the new 2012?
I was originally going to go with eGO-T, but then saw eGO-C.
From what I'm reading from you guys, you seem to suggest the non-tank version?
Any specific one? Also, is Joyetech brand the best? Thanks for all your input!!

I have Joye and Riva ego's. I like the riva better because it puts out at a slightly higher voltage. The following link is for a unit I don't own, but has had good reviews here. If I were to buy another ego, this would be it.

Honestly batteries are important, but not THAT big of an issue for me.
I'm trying to avoid something that looks too bulky also.

Also, which site is the best to purchase these? And is joyetech the "original"? it seems like people mention and seem to think joyetech is a good brand... Is this true?

Hello iamnamja and welcome to ECF, If you are looking for a genuine eGo then I would suggest heading over to the Joyetech website to find a distributor nearest you.

You might also wish to have a look at the eGo-C which from what I have heard seems like an overall improvement, Having said that I am yet to have a leak or any sort of wicking issues with my eGo-T.

And because many seem to not care for the tank it might pay to get a CE2 and a cartomizer as sharpi has stated so you can have a play around with each.

But let me see if I understand this... So the tanks are what leaks... But I can get a cartomizer instead which wont leak?
So if i were to get the new eGo-C, then I can choose to use a cartomizer and i don't have to deal with the leaks?
Please clarify this for me. Thanks!

any 510 thread cartomizer will fit any ego battery.

yep thats my setup as well. my profile pic is the ego 1100mah battery with a boge 2.0 ohm cartos.

a lot of people would agree yes, including me. your just starting out, and you cannot go wrong with a couple ego batteries and some boge LR (2.0ohm) cartos and some juice. you wont be dissapointed. you can always change to anything else thats a 510 thread and it will fit the ego batteries.

Ok, then could you point me to exactly what you would recommend me to buy?
Honestly, all this is so new to me. I'm not sure what cartos is, and what juice i would need to buy. Sorry for being such a newbie, but I would like an easy setup so that I can get things started. Thanks!
