thanks for your help so far folks i'm asking lots of questions..

you know the 5 pre-filled carts that come with the janty Ego kit? how long generally can you use them before re-filing?

i'm using each one maybe 2 days and putting about 8 drops of juice in about 3 times a day. Is there a limit before i should put on another cartridge?

again, trial and error but basically its a great 'smoke' when the batterys fully charged and juice topped up, but i'm still learning the finer details

many thanks once again

When the stuffing gets old and cranky, replace the stuffing with blue foam and keep using them. Cartridges can be reused until they get loose from heat or use - it one is too loose you could throw it away. Other wise you can just keep using them. You can rinse and dry the plastic part, rinse and pat dry the blue foam.

For standard (not Mega) 510 style carts see the precut blue foam at strictlyejuice.com - I think 75 cents, cheapest way to try blue foam. I even cut those down for some smaller carts I have.

With blue foam, to do a full fill you can pull the foam, fill the cart 1/2 way, insert the foam (tapered end first), push it into the jucie to get it wet, reposition at the top edge of the juice cup, and top off with 1-3 drops (whatever it needs). Then just top off until you think it needs a full fill again.

The uncut stuff is Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve in the aquarium dept of PetSmart. I love blue foam. I keep a piece in my desk at work too in case I need to cut a new plug for my 306 cart.

I use an unbent small smooth paper clip to push/positon the foam. Eventually the foam gets too frayed to work well and then I cut a new plug. Great stuff. Hold its shape, even consistency.
