Wow my thread is still alive! Anyway, alots gone on with my ego lately.
First off my original batteries started going downhill on vapor production and the charge wasnt lasting as long, although I still got a good 6 1/2 hours usually. So I just picked up some new batts from puresmoker and problem solved.
I also picked up a mega atomizer and mega carts from cignot the other day and WOW. The atomizer is so huge it took me 2 entire days of non stop vaping to fully break it in. At first the vapor and flavor were OK, equivalent to a normal 510, but now its amazing. Not to mention I can fit 65 effin' drops in the cart! I usually go through about 5-6 regular carts a day and I only have to refill the mega cart once a day! Awesome! I really like the whistle tip too. Its really wide and has a semi-hourglass shape that fits my mouth perfectly. the draw is a little more airy than with a regular atty and cone, but I still get tons of vapor and flavor. All assembled the mega ego (without the mega batt) is only about a half inch longer than a regular ego. I highly recommend checking these out!

Bat Country!
ok... been off the site and out of the ecig world for a bit after my 901 crapped out, but i ordered an Ego based on this thread... i just need to get into to dripping for the best experience i guess... heres to my re-entry to the vaping world!

Be sure and give the 510 cartomizers a try too when you make your triumphant return to vaping Heath. I find they fit my lifestyle and habit better than dripping. YMMV of course, but @ under $2 a pop, worth checking out!

Ok, I've had my eGo for about a month now, love it, nothing wrong with it, but those Mega Cartomizers are just terrible IMO. I'm not sure what they used as a packing material but even with a good wash the flavor (WHATEVER flavor I use) just turns foul. I've gone back to using my drip tip and my regular 510 cartos for work. Don't get me wrong, the vapor production on the Mega Cartos is purely incredible but the flavor just DIES after awhile.

I thought at first it was just that I had gotten used to the flavor, but even rotating four or five different flavors didn't seem to help at all.

The eGo itself, especially with the Mega batteries is still my favorite PV (at least until I get my pesky Multi-Volt mod done) but I will be putting my six Mega Cartos aside for long driving trips.

I checked them out but... no warranty... sold as is?

Many are. The best prices on kits are from Tasty Vapor, and Nicotine Nirvana.

The batteries can be had with a warranty for around $20.00

Be sure to get a battery, a cone, a charger, and have some 510 attys and cartridges available.

The cone is both asthetic and functional as stated earlier in the thread. I OFTEN us a 510>901 adapter and use KR808 cartomizers on mine. Truth is stated above by the poster that says the MEGA cartomizers are trash. Fidgity to fill, and cleaning them is almost a no go.

I think the flavor dies out because of the cone. The cone makes a build up to make a major vapor hence the performance clouds of vapor. The back draw however is the vapor inside building up so much it soaks and makes some steam inside killing off the juice sorta.

However, that is if you take huge intakes. Say menthol Ice for example of halocigs, but the flavor is there but wears off if I take a very long drag. I love the fact you take as long of a drag without stopping being automatic or manual. Check out my review I did for it :D
