Ego Mega Cartridges - filling problems

OK, I'm a noob to the Egos, and am still learning. I've watched several videos and searched around here, but haven't really found an answer.

So, I pull the cap, and fill with a syringe, and after just a tiny bit of juice, it starts dripping out the bottom. Am I missing something here? It just seems like I should be able to get more than 8-10 vapes out of this before it starts tasting burnt. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but durned if I can figure out what it is.

The link you gave, is the eGo mega CARTRIDGES, not the cartomizers. :)
With the cartridges (Cart for short), you don't need a syrynge. A syrnge will shoot it out the mouthpiece end more likely than not. What you want to do, is drip (squirt) directly from the bottle into the fiberfill fluff stuff and let it absorb, then repeat until the fiberfill is nice and wet. Pop it back onto your Mega Atomizer and Happy vaping!

haha, my bad! The syrnge and poster before me threw me off, it's all their fault. :D

So far, all my carts have been great, no leaks. They take 70 drops the first fill, then I top off with 20 drops every hour or two from then on. But, as is the nature of all carts Mega or Micro, the polyfill can differ from cart to cart. Some are too thick, too thin, too narrow, too wide... getting a perfect one is heaven. Perhaps yours is too narrow, and the liquid is seeping out the sides. If that's the case, you can pull the fiberfill out of the cart and cut off a 1/3 off the tip then after re-inserting it into cart, top it off with a slice of blue foam from the pet store. It sounds harder than it is. Do a search for "eGo Mega Cart mod" . G'Luck!

My H and I are still monkeying around with the 'perfect' cartridge-fill method with the eGo Megas and we're currently using a method that's working pretty well for us. We remove the white filler and cut that in half, stuff some blue foam down in the cartridge, drip about 20-30 drops directly onto the blue, put the cut white filler in and drip another 20-30 drops onto that.

We're finally getting very consistant vape with that method and are only having to top it off every couple of hours (and I am a heavy hitter, let me tell you!).

Hmm...now *that* sounds interesting! I will try that when I get home from work tonight!! I've got about 8 virgin cartridges sitting in my stash, and a sheet of foam just laying around.....thanks for the great idea!

Have you thought about combining that with the straw mod?

The mod works great on regular cartridges too. I tried it on the carts that came with my Ego kit, cut off half the filler, stuffed a bit of foam in the bottom, dripped about 10-13 drops, then put the filler back and dripped that wet. Vapes great, and takes a lot more juice than it did before.

I did your suggestion on a cart, and put in the straw. Huge clouds, and great wicking!

Happy to hear it's working for you! I agree, this configuration does seem to improve the wicking and I also don't seem to have as much of a problem with leaks, either.

We'll be doing a Wally's run tonight and I'll be sure to pick up a pack of coffee stirrers this time. Looking forward to trying it.

Well, I won't object if the PTB want to sticky it! :D (I'm not quite sure how that works?)

Happy vaping!

ETA: Sorry for misspelling your name up there^^^. There's a lady on another forum I frequent whose ID ends with 'wench' and I always add the R to her name, too. No clue why. I certainly don't think either of you are 'tools'.
