Good for you. That does look like a nice simple VV box, very similar to MadVapes. Now that you've gone VV, it'll be hard to go back.
Two questions... whereabouts is SmokTek? I know area code 727 is Tampa Bay area and I go there often. And, what is the drip tip on your emdcc? Looks nice.
FYI - VV drains batteries. Those 14500's are cheap. An extra pair will come in mighty handy, especially now while you're on the VV honeymoon.
Thanks, JJ
thanks! i compared photos of the inside of mv's vv box and the inside of mine, and mine looks a whole lot cleaner ... seems to be neater, tighter, and feels very solid. now that i know what higher voltage vaping is like, i can see why people spend so much for mods like the provari. btw, in the ealier post, i typed "rod" instead of "rob" for smoktec's owner's name ... sorry.
smoktek is in st. petersburg right now, but, in about 2 weeks, rob is moving the store over to st. pete beach (i love spb ... used to live waterfront just across the bridge from spb before i moved downtown! i miss that now!!!)
the drip tip is a delrin mega type b that i ordered from the west coast a few weeks back. i was surprised to find that smoktek sells them, too (for a great price), so i meant to pick up a few more yesterday but totally forgot. having the mega type b drip tips available in my neighborhood is just too good to be true ... saves me from paying shipping now.
jimmyjet: i do notice a little drain on the batts with the vv box(!) ... already bought 2 sets of batts last night, when i purchased the vv box. i think the vv honeymoon will continue for a long, long time.
the thing is, right now, i'm getting such satisfaction from the fuller-feeling/tasting vape that i seem to be taking slightly shorter vapes, but that could change as soon as i get my hands on a bottle of chocolate peanut butter fudge!!

honestly ... after ya'll posted over and over about 5-volt and vv vaping, i just knew i had to do something and soon. i'm just glad everything worked out the way it did and i was able to purchase smoktek's very first vv-box. now, my ego's and kgo's are all charged up waiting for when i need to use them ... maybe for shopping, etc., places where i might not want to carry the box mod and possibly end up dropping it or losing it. i put my first set of drained 14500 batts on the charger this morning, and it took a little over 6 hours for the green (charged) light to stay on solid ... not bad.
txtumbleweed: thanks for the "heads up" and steering me over to smoktek!!!
kirwin: my 5-month-old kgo 1100's were tested under load yesterday, and they were firing at 4.1 & 4.2 volts. your kgo's are still amost brand new and should be firing every bit of that (i would think). part of my recent vaping problem was that i was filing with some crap juices i tried to mix up (most everything i had was 36mg nic) trying to lower the nic level to around 3-6mg. i ended up with washed out flavor and juices that were clogging the emdcc a little ... very frustrating for me. rob gave me a bottle of zero-nic coffee and now my kgo's/emdcc seem to be doing a much better job (lots of variables, huh?). i have an order for 180mg of juices that i love on the way right now.

didn't mv start off with about 20,000 emdcc's toward the end of june/1st of july? i still have to make it over to walgreens for that cool logic case. i'll sure need something very large like that from now on. when i had a flat tire the other night, all i could think about was possibly being stuck on the highway without spare batts, cartos, and juices (and the little tool for adjusting the center post of the emdcc's). lol i probably do need a 3rd set of the 14500 batts!
