I was wondering why no one replied to a separate thread I posted about it a week back. I tried taking the thing to work and used it all night, It hit like a champ, sometimes good enough that the juice would over power whatever the nasty taste was, but it wasn't worth it. Good to know. Will be reordering come payday.

Well that makes three of us then :)

Give 'em another chance, I guess - I can see why that'd put someone off the cartos because the one that did it to me was the first one I ever used. If it happened to me again I think what I'd do is boil the damn thing or wash it out with vodka and let it dry - either should work. The waste of juice would irritate me, though.

edit: Here's where a couple of us are talking about it -

I probably should have cleaned it the first time. I was pretty hasty about ripping out the filler and trying to see if there was a way to modify it when I got home from work.

I also like to fill mine with a syringe - going around the outside of the filler from the bottom up - slowly pushing - trying to get the juice as evenly distributed as possible - and obviously avoiding the center tube that must remain free of obstructions. Dripping into the center tube will also give you a false signal that the carto is full. Nice and slow is the key, and I like to spin the carto between my hands back and forth as one of the final steps to help distribute the juice. The last step is to use a paper towel or something similar to dab up any excess juice on the bottom end of the carto where it connects to the battery. Many folks add a last step and let the carto sit and soak up the juice for awhile before putting it in use. There are other methods used to fill the carto, but the end desired result is the same - juice evenly distributed throughout the carto filling.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a try.

For me, I have abandoned the eGo Tank atty's all together and have replaced them with the 2.0 Ohm Dual Coil Clearomizers or Cartomizers and spent a couple bucks for a few regular Ego Cones. They hold just as much if not more juice and produce way better flavor and vapor than either the type B or Type A Atty's.

I tried to perfect them and deal with them, regular, LR, Type A, Type B they all eventually leaked and they are way too expensive for the quality of vapor, flavor and TH that they produce.

I hope this helps;

EMDCC gets hot so hot that the filler in the one I tried actually shrank so that it no longer touches the sides . Not sure I like over working my ego . Not popular but I like the ego mega atomizer type B . The one with filler not the tank . I have tried just about everything and always come back to it . Clouds of vaper but you have to learn to use it . It leaks when too full and if your juice it too thick it does not wick well when 1/2 empty but once you use a eliquid with a higher PG level or a thinner juice it works very well . Any thing with VG in the juice can leak when really hot . Heat thins VG out .

Much better. Used the filling method Tom10 described above. No nasty burnt taste like before and I can chain vape the heck out of it. Very pleased. Thanks for the advice guys. I may have never tried these again without it.

Glad you got it sorted - these things are pretty neat :)
