I bought an Ego one mega, i didn't unpack it until after the warranty had expired (stupid i know) but basically everytime i fire it the device flashes 40 times and locks until i plug the charger into it, it'll then let me drag 1 maybe two clouds if i'm lucky, then lock again, my first 1.0 ohm coil worked perfect, but after i tried the temp control coils (NI and TI) (using temp control settings on both) this is where the device started this fault, on these two coils, so i order a pack of 5 1.0ohm coils and vaped under W mode again, however i am still having the 40 flash lock problem, any advice? Really missing my vape:(

Not wishing to put a downer on this, you cannot leave Lithium batteries uncharged for extended periods. If you are 'out of warranty' (3 months?) it is possible that battery is dead.
I cannot speak for an eGo Mega inbuilt battery, but I had this with some Sony 18650 batteries. Bought them, left them unused, dead.
However, on the bright side, I don't actually think this it that likely.
Can the Mega support Ni and Ti? I didn't think it could.

Is yours an eGo ONE VT?

From page 8 of your user manual.

When the battery is fully charged (and the tank is attached) does the battery light stay lit when you press the fire button? This would indicate the battery is 60%-100% charged.

Does your battery indicate this or do the lights indicate something else?
