eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

Has anyone tried using grommets from Cubis coils in the CLR? The grommets from the BF coils that I stripped down are a bit shorter than the CLR grommet but otherwise seem like they may be a workable substitute to me.

I'm considering gambling $10 to see if this is CLR compatible? I think it's an Ego One copy or clone. I've read KSD is known for that? Got the funky positive pin and the coil looks awfully familiar?

What y'all think?

when I seen this :

I bought some eJuice for gifting, and I put about 1.5ml in my new v2 SS eGo ONE Tank for sampling...
when I was done, I removed the tank & layed it down on my desk - couple days later I picked it up
and to my chagrin, this is what I saw...

I was dumbfounded, just couldn't believe it ~ MY NEW TANK !!

what a GIANT disappointment

I've always heard the warnings about 'tank cracker' juices, but being a tobacco flavor vaper, I never gave it much thought, or saw the results of it. Is that what happens? It looks like it was shot with a BB gun!

yepper, I AM TOTALLY AGAINST TANK CRACKER JUICE (won't vape it)

been making my own juice for awhile and even forgot about the tank cracker stuff

that's my biggest point - thought they were glass (especially the v2 models)

guess I know now WHY they never broke when I slammed them on a ceramic tile floor...

cinnamon was always one of the worst ! (hot cinnamon)

my past experience was never a problem whilst juice was in tank,
but when emptied or rinsed the poly tank would crystalize...

I'm looking at the description for these tanks at various vendors, and they are all pretty much the same copy, not indicating the construction material one way or another.
However, the replacement tanks from Joyetech do state that they are GLASS. I'll keep looking.

Back when I first started vaping and was trying a lot of different liquids, I HAVE had reactions to citrus, cinnamon, clove and a few others when using plastic tanks (from Halo). First the plastic tanks get really cloudy, then they crack.

Not being argumentative, just wondering if it was really the liquid that did this tank in. Hmmmmmmmmm

It sure is hard to find a good description on these, but I've found a few that state "stainless steel over glass"

I don't have any strawberry liquid in a tank right now, but I do have a Sweet Tea with lemon, a carrot cake with cinnamon, and a pumpkin pie that's heavy on clove. They've been in the tanks for about a month (my fall favorite vapes!) and I don't see anything going on.

If this is a new tank, Puf, I'd contact the vendor. It may have had a hairline crack or been in a bind. If nothing else, maybe they can tell you the construction material for sure.

well I THOUGHT REALLY hard about cracked tank...
not into S&C juice so I just put about half a tank in, vaped awhile, took it off and layed it down on my desk...
few days later (today) I picked it up and where the puddle was laying on bottom inside developed the crack-age... ?

It's Glass !

I took a pair of pliers to the tank in question and it ' shattered '

busted up into many small glass shards

now I am torn between !

•on one hand I'm VERY GLAD that it is GLASS

•then on the other, how in the heck did it get broke/cracked

so I am gonna have to call in the "Big Guns" to investigate...
