I'll definitely do that when I get home from work. I really want this to work. And yes, I've been having too many issues lately!
I'm having issues with it on the pico and the hana modz. Always seems to happen after I fill, but sometimes happens for no reason

duh, I forgot to click the <next page> button... :blush:

OK, so you're using the stock coils - they are known for SOME issues, but not really many
so I am going with user error at this time (whatever that might be)

again the basics: o-ring on bottom of coil in place, screw coil in about as tight as you can (only part that NEEDS to be tight) - rest just snug

before spring loaded 510 pins, everybody used to WAY OVER TIGHTEN the topper tank onto the device
I always told them, DON'T LOOK while tightening tank on - look away, when you feel it stop, STOP TURNING (doesn't need to be cranked down)
are you OVER TIGHTENING your tank ONTO your device ?

just something to try while diagnosing
remove drip tip, remove base and sit tank aside
wipe off wet coil in base and try screwing base with coil onto mod - gives a different perspective maybe leading to what your problem is (long shot)

ah, where I was going AND agree with Shawn about coil loosening from tank removal...

let us know...

I'm looking forward to starting the investigation!

Check and make sure that your coils are tight, the positive pin is clean on both the tank and the mod. I've had the coils to get loose in the tank because they are bottom filled.

A Ha! eGo ONE coils are somewhat notorious for backing out when the tank is removed. Snug up your coils after a fill and see if that helps. On my eGo ONEs, the top of the CLR head often came off in the chimney...

I'm glad I stopped by and saw your comments about the coils loosening up if they're not screwed in really tight.

As some of you know I use GS Air tanks almost exclusively and I've had Chelsea's problem if I dont screw those coils in really tight. I'll make sure to tighten the CLRs well. These two coils are so much alike.

Update: I've cleaned and dried the tank and coil. the ohm reader is reading it but not the m80+.i just put it on the Hana modz it's working, also it's working on the pico. So i guess problem is solved...
Edit; I spoke too soon. The black one is working, but not the other 2. I guess I am just going to yank the coil out and do a whole new one because something is definitely wrong with my silver and blue ones. All I get is "check atomizer" across multiple devices and I have already tried cleaning and tightening everything just right, per puf's instructions [emoji4]
Wish me luck

Do you have any stock coils that you can use to see if they will work? Before you waste the one you built? Because if stock coils dont work either then it's the device and not your coils.

I've only used a few CLRs so far and I've never rebuilt one, just rewicked them. I did have one, straight out of the pack, that just wouldn't work on any of the devices that I tried it on.

There must be some duds occasionally.

If you look at the inside bottom of the tank base you should see what looks like a screw top with a slit in it. It is possible that since it is across multiple mods that for some reason the connection pin on the tank is too short in length. I am only recommending you play with that piece in very small increments such as maybe a quarter turn to the right. Have to be careful tho because it still needs to connect to the atomizer bottom. Only a suggestion but if all else fails, it is something to try.
eta.....meant to say turn to the left.........dang dyslexia

those center pins are just that : a pin, no threading to it -- I don't know why they have the 'slot' to simulate a screw :)
but they are just a smooth pin stuck in the silicone groment
they are sorta self-adjusting - by screwing your coil in tight the pin is pushed out to the proper length (which corresponds to the pin sticking out that touches your mod positive pin)

Interesting......in the ole' days some of them did actually have screws. Doesn't make any sense that they have a slotted area on the top then. ummm.

:)

@ChelsB

so, I am wondering , any break-thrus in the Great Topper Caper... :pop: ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Sorry, I got carried away rebuilding! [emoji4]So I just took apart the other 2 and rebuilt them, no more problems.
The legs of the stock coils did seem a tad short. I think I got a bad batch of coils
