That 1.0 is not a CLR coil, though. You might like it, no harm in trying. But, if you have the 1.0 CLR, I'd try that, and if you don't like it, just rebuild it.

I'm like you. About 1.5 is my sweet spot, but I really like the 1.0 CLR. Not hot at all.
Thanks Mike. I think I will. Since we share the same sweet spot it's worth trying.

And I do have CLRs. I bought a box of them with the ego one.

My Amor arrived today! I really like its looks. Never had a frosted tank before. I'm glad it's not too frosted though because I like to see the level of my juice.

So help me with those coils. I have never vaped anything but 1.5-1.7. I'm not into experimenting. I'm sure the .5 will be taken apart for parts. Given my taste should I even bother trying the 1.0?

how do you get 1.5-1.7Ω (you're building them ?)

go ahead and try all of them BEFORE you tear apart , it won't hurt

try BIG AIR .5Ω - see what ya think

then 1.0Ω, what's to lose, just be careful of your throat...

I could manage to get the AFC set where I liked it, but taking the base off the tank it would move, as the base was also tight tightening it down, so I put some vg on the threads, and the o-ring, and that tightens down much easier so the AFC doesn't move.

So I took apart the stock coil and I've never seen wick like this. It's very thin. I need this for my vertical coils! What is it?

Opinions wanted.
Today i revisited my mmvapors did20 for those unfamilar its genesis with a top build that i used with ss mesh coils .
Anyways has screw on top unscrew and fill. Nice vape.

Was thinking if its possible to drill small hole on the joyetech Megav2 tank top and threaded it for a small screw as i always wished for a clr coil (lifetime supply) tank that is a simple top tank fill.
I would have to buy the drill bit /tap and screw and hand drill it as i have no drill press.

Just an idea and not something i'm going to attempt but may try in future.

Any thoughts ?

Looks like a piece of sterile cotton gauze as in bandage cotton pads.

•unscrew tank / remove base / fill

•attempt to thread top of tank / tap threads in crappy metal / find a small screw to insert / find a small seal to stop air, fluid leaks
when you OPEN that screw all the juice runs out thru the coil into air cavity down your arm
then you DROP that damn tiny little screw...
then fill thru tiny screw hole, no air relief so need another tiny hole (dropped two screws now)
then stick a mini pointed end of a juice bottle or syringe... etc etc etc (I'll stop here)

Dieseler- That sounds feasible but doing it hand may be an issue. I think the bit will dance prior to starting the hole and destroy the finish. Best to find a friend with a drill press to keep it clean and precise. Keep us posted please. While we are speaking of tinkering with the Mega V2's- I am fairly new to the Ego one tanks and still trying to find the right diameter of coil and correct wicking for a leak proof system. (not sure it's possible) One thing I have been doing to alleviate fluid coming through the air passages is to place a very small amount of cotton in the bottom section prior to screwing on the coil. Very small pieces do not seem to hamper the air flow and it sure sucks up the extra fluid. So far this is keeping my hand/fingers dry. :) Just make sure you don't cover the positive post and your good.

pufZeppelin - sounds like you have been there done that- scratch that idea- THX

I dunno, that metal is awfully thin, I don't think you'd get a thread. I don't think I'd try it.

mine wasn't that tight after I washed them - - :unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::confused::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::sneaky::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:

ya'll DID wash them good, right ?:eek:

Yep, I washed mine. Not as good as I could've or should've as I was impatient (imagine that!) to try the new tank. I put a CLR coil in and the dirt taste is gone. Puffing happily away now!
