Don't know why I haven't noticed this before, but the bottom of my ego one mega batteries get pretty darn hot while charging with the supplied charger. I pulled another charger out of another box and it's the same. Is this normal for these things?
I'm going to say yes based on my 3 iTaste VV's and 2 evod mega batteries - all get hot where the charging cable is inserted on the bottom (but not along the body where most if not all of the battery is presumably located).

I ended up ordering a couple of the VT ego one kits from Health Cabin for my daughter to try vaping and some clr coils. If I am reading the description correct on these they don't do tc in SS.

I am hoping they will work well enough for her to decide she can stick with vaping. I figure I can move her on to a better mod. She is typical in that she wants something like a cigarette, form factor and she wants a cigarette flavor vape...

Tried to get an SS coil to work on mine in TC, no dice just kept kicking back to power mode. For me the VT worked well with KA1 or SS in power mode from .5 up to 1.5 ohm. above 1.5 the Vape got kinda lame *for me*.

Seems to be pretty normal - all 3 of mine get warmish when I charge them.

I figure they're here for a good time, not a long time so I'm using mine daily till the fire buttons go (that's what happened to the first one I bought last year).

Well Ripl...if your daughter does not "stick with vaping"...you may want to take a "step backwards"...and get her some Flings...(disposable e-cigs)...

I've given a number of my smoking friends Starter Kits (Mod/Tank)...but few have continued vaping...("too complicated", "too much work", etc.)...

When I then starting giving them Flings...the "switch to vaping" success rate increased...

The Flings are the same shape and about the same size as a cigarette...easy to use (put in mouth and draw in)...have excellent flavor...give them close to the amount of "smoke" that they're used to with analogs...

After a week or two they "learn" how to vape (eg. draw in like a straw)...and they begin to remember how great their lungs used to feel...how wonderful their breath, clothes, home use to smell...

They're a little expensive compared to tanks/mods...but very cheap for a smoker since a $4-$6 Fling will last as long as 2 packs of analogs...

Then...after she's "taught herself" to vape and has been reintroduced to her smoke-free body/environment...it could be the time to consider a more cost-effective Starter Kit...

:2c:

(Me, personally, I always keep a few Flings around for those times I'm unexpectedly admitted to my friendly local "ALL E-CIGS WILL BE CONFISCATED" hospital.)

I will keep those in mind. @gerrymi Thats the first I have heard of those.

As I rather long-windedly posted...the Flings give a Noob a good "cigarette experience"...and at $4-$6 = 1 Fling = 2 packs of analogs...are much cheaper than smoking...

[PLUS...it introduces them to the concept that, with vaping, they no longer have to choose only between Tobacco or Menthol...they can now try Vanilla, Cinnamon, Melon, etc. etc. etc. :headbang: ]
