I don't mind bottom fill tanks...Easy enough to deal with. Most time you can even leave the base attached to the mod then refill and return.

I have only one top fill tank out of dozens, a kanger toptank mini. The rest are the bottom fill subtanks and ego one megas. No leaking from the top tank or the bottom tanks.

I just picked up the eGo One Mega V2...in orange. What a great little unit.
Just what I've been looking for, something small with a decent sized tank and some kick, to stick in my pocket when I'm walking out the door.

hello Vapemesilly, welcome to thread :toast:

those always have been a great device :) -- just how good would it be if you could adjust wattage and swap out the battery :w00t:
could get a eGo Twist (discard the cubis tank) and have a sweet set-up too...

Thing is ... I have yet to try a top-fill tank that doesn't leak at all. One thing I like about my eGo One tank is it's totally non drip. Rebuildable AND nonleaky? Yes! I can easily live with bottom-fill, which turns out to be faster and easier than all my "take off the drip tip, close the air control and/or juice control, fill from the top, but be sure to leave an air pocket, then screw on the top, but just a little, then turn it upside down and finish screwing on the top, then open the air flow, then turn it right side up and put on the drip tip and ... oh, hey, it's still leaking anyway! Awesome!" top fill tanks*.

Of course my sample size is limited, and I'm sure(?) that there are non-leaky top-fill tanks, and maybe even non-leaky top fill tanks that you can just, like, open the top and fill -- without all the voodoo shenanigans but I've just been feeling like bottom fill is a lot more reliable that way.

* My KFM 3s are actually mostly good in this regard if wicked right, yet even they do tend to occasionally just randomly leak from the air holes for no particular reason. I try to think of it as an outpouring of love.

"An outpouring of love." LOL! Marvelous, tazzle!!

Welp, one might find this too old skool for one's liking, but I've found that my Earl (Erlkonigin) mini is rapidly speeding to the top of beloved tanks. Not only is it CONSISTENTLY bone dry, but it's top fill!

It might not be for everyone, but I'll tell ya, I'm absto lovin' it.

This is @vapdivrr's much beloved, isn't it? Is that the regular or the Nano? Definitely not too old skool for me! It's just been very, very expensive locally, and I just went back to look, and no longer available at my usual local site. I would def be up for trying it though!

(also, *waving* hi, DPLongo! :p)

Hi Tazzle. :D I've been watching ya.

We got put onto them by the venerable @ToolmanTexas , but I think you may be correct about our resident diver too. These are the nanos (2.5ml) but we've got a slow boat coming with larger ones (they SAY 6ml, but we think they may be the 8s). They're freaking TASTY! Oh my...:vapor:

Sorry, Kat. Did I jump your shark?:blink::unsure:

OK CLR fans, I have a favor to ask if anyone is willing to assist. If I had any, or could have found them in a local B&M I'd do it myself.
So here is the situation. Friend of mine recently got some eggrolios (did I get my Katspeak right) and is switching from some 1.8ohm BVC tank things. Likes them but...she has also developed some breathing problems from, I think, a combination of factors. She thinks (and a doctor said) it's bronchitis, but two things happened right before this started.
First, she breathed in some fumes she probably shouldn't have. Second, she switched from those BVC tanks to the Ego One tanks. She has remarked about the fact it's more vapor. She has also told me she is using a high VG juice (apparently the only way she can get her favorite) and WTA so a part of me is thinking the prolonged (going on 6 weeks maybe? and 2 since she saw the doctor) breathing issues may at least be aggravated by her current vape setup.
So, she has already reduced the WTA to see if that helps. She says she is going to try lower VG (but she doesn't and hasn't mixed before so I am tempted to send her some juice at 50/50 or maybe even 60/40.)
But I also was thinking maybe she needs to move higher than 1.0ohm on the CLR head. She has not ever built a coil, doesn't have wire, etc. I'm too far away to actually do it for her.
What I'd like to ask (if you've stuck with the whole background story) is could anyone possibly rebuild a small number of CLR heads at somewhere between 1.5 and 1.8ohm, then send them to her if I give you an address via PM?
And in case that was too much too bother reading...

    TL;DR
Would anyone be willing to rebuild a small number of CLR heads at somewhere between 1.5 and 1.8ohm, then send them to a friend of mine if I give you an address via PM?

Oh the erlk nano, I'm actually vaping a new juice in mine right now! I just love the flavor and intensity in small chimney rtas. Between the erlk and erlp, I have 5 and everyone is in nano mode.

Somebody here will step up, kad. If not, I'll try my hand (still haven't actually done one yet, so am sitting back for now). We'll get your friend taken care of, one way or another.

    Kayfun Mini V3? :?:

No where near as easy to build and re-wick, tho.

@kad2371 pm me an address. I should be able to get her 3-5 built clr's. I'll try to get em out by the weekend. I don't guarantee my builds for any use but my own, but I'll give it a go. :)
I tracked some down locally, so I will buy them and get them built for I her. Called a store I hadn't thought about checking earlier, they have them in stock. But thanks!
I don't know if it will help her at all, but I figure it's worth a try.

I absolutely love the km3 but have to admit the wicking, at least in all my authentics, are a bit finicky about the amount a wick tails. If I add a bit too much or a tad too shy, I do get a bit of juice at the base. I surmise it has to be getting under the insulator somehow and going straight down to the base and on its way down can obviously pool near the air holes...I'm about 95 percent on building them just right, but I get such a nice vape, the other 5 percent doest bother me.

Boy are YOU not kidding, Jumpin'. I still am having a love/dislike strongly relationship with the KFMs.

Yes, tazzle, it's the nano (mini), as DPLongo stated. There are a couple on FT, tho I have no klue as to the manufacture or quality, even as clones go.

Toolman, the sweetheart, encouraged (ok, speaking facts: enabled!) me to try one out, and I spent mega time searching for something we both thought didn't exist any more. I was THRILLED when I found them, and welp, DPL just had to be a recipient of my endless searching. Now we're both diggin' them so much that we did indeed get another - or two.

kad, good luck with your friend, and the egg rollios. (you did PERFECT KatSpeak!)

As far as her breathing probs go, certainly it could be a combo of factors, and may not even have to do with vape, tho that can't be discounted either.

I happen to suspect it's the high VG. Many people (myself included) don't do well with it. It tends to congest my lungs, feels heavy, and doesn't let me breathe quite as easily as I should do.

I hope the higher resistance CLRs are helpful for her! Best to you and to her.

    Keep us postata?
