No, there's a tank called the Pico Rta.
It's a top fill tank that you can coil yourself or may accept CLR coils .
It's a great mtl tank but i don't like it's look.
You can find it at fasttech (cloned) for around 10€.
There are several models available, check carefully as some don't have the CLR adaptors.

Yeah - @Katdarling has one, but I'm not sure it's getting a ton of use. I think there may have been something about the adapter that she wasn't crazy about. I had one too but didn't hang onto it for long.

I usually remove my tanks to fill them (had some bad experiences), regardless of top or bottom fill. I have some of both (top & bottom) that I both like and dislike, so that issue (fill) isn't a big one for me.

Hi from me as well (and also thanks for bringing this thread back up, Diesler!).

Hi all, in case i missed something, is a top filling tank compatable with CL/CLR coils existing ?
I only know the Pico but don't like it...
Thanks to all !

I don't know for sure, Lanciab. It may be that the Pico is the only one that has CLR coils and is top fill.

As DPL mentioned, I really didn't like fighting to make the thing work but, reinventing the adapter and all that jazz wasn't really all that bad. Plus, once done, that's it. One doesn't need to mod it again.

I have a couple of them, and tho they are "ok", like you, I'm not really fond of the look, so mine get little use.

That's it, all a question of look.
Interesting that some of us - including me - are not using some good tanks just because we don't like their design.
I'm actually looking for topfill tank as one of my mod (a great looking Etaliens Et-X2) has a defective 510 and if I remove the tank it's a mess to have the coil value recognised accurately...

Heck yeah. Who wants to vape a ....-ugly tank? ;)

Not me, that's for sure. :vapor:

Sorry about your Sigourney mod. :(

I would be interested except Oddessy only tanks for me. I have one small ego one still going strong the small one but no. No more joytech. I am done with the mental self injury!

It's a great tank for everyone else though, honest! LOL

Anna

The Odyssey (on left) is my favorite CLR option too, but I'm fine with the Mega V2s (aka "Eggrolls") also (on right).

Kat has described the Eggies as "Industrial" looking, which I think is perfect, but there's still something about them that I like. If there wasn't, they'd not be in rotation.

I've heard that taste is subjective. ;)

I don't know well this Odyssey tank.
Just remember they were sold at a way too high price for me a few years ago.
Base looks like genuine Joyetech one.
What makes thèse better ?
DPLongo22, the Ripley never worked correctly, random coil reading, eats batteries, TC horrible..but it's so gorgeous i still use it !

It's the exact same, except it's all 316 SS (better quality, look, and more sturdy). They go on sale every once in a great while for $20 (one per person), and that's when most of us jumped on them. You can still get them for $40-50, but nah-ah. If they go sale again, I'll get another.

I remember when the original Alien came out (one of the US vendors, MadVapes maybe?), and there were a lot of problems. The clones apparently cleaned up some of the problems, but your experiences may be indicative of the larger issues (not sure). Definitely neat to look at, for sure.

On a boat in So.CA
The Eggie V2 has been the only tank used in last couple years. Just love it. I do wish
they were of better quality and also wish I had grabbed an Odyssey when available. When the V2 Stainless version is used on my Pico my sweaty forefinger rests on the base of the tank. Soon and very soon the base portion is badly tarnished - I polish it out but eventually the S.S. finish is just gone and down to base metal. Wish I could find a few bases and experiment with applying a tuff finish to them. Great to see a little activity in this ancient thread.

IT READS THE COILS.

the base is not the same at all it screws in way lower than eggrolls.

Trust me. I have studied. You can't even dry burn and rewick one well, the coil sits so much lower.

I have never had one not read a coil. I could have 3 more oddessy' s at full price for what I paid in broken dreams and useless eggrolls.

To be fair, I suck at Joytech. That company and I do NOT get along.

They do get beat up, but they remain my all-around favorite atty. I get slightly better flavor from the Erls, and the Doggies are SO reliable, but with a gun to my head I'd choose the CLR tanks, and wouldn't hesitate. I absolutely love them.

The eggies can be finicky at times. There are tricks, but I agree, they're not needed with the Odyssey (and shouldn't be needed with either, but are). I'm still hoping to get a couple more someday (as unlikely as that may be).

back, I had one (or 7) that chipped, but one, in particular, I experimented on. I polished it down to the bare metal and I like the look!

This is after a vodka soak (the base, not me) ;)

(Left one is the "polished") The one little mar might be camera related or my inadequacies. :D

Looks great. I mostly use Tron-S and tron-t tanks (I have 5 currently in use, plus one spare ; and 4 Méga V2 in stock).
I like the taste, they are compact, hold a lot, never leak if you wipe the base and threads at each refill.
I searched for a long time a black Tron-S but never find it, too late !!
I missed the huge HealthCabin sale when they offered Vtc mini+ Tron-S kits for 4$..
I would have bought 10 of them at least
Each year I buy one or two Eggies and one or to CLR packs. Just for stock, one day they'll disappear !
Katdarling, what is that copper-color drip tip on the right ? It's beautiful.

Wish you were kloser proximally, Lanciab, as I've got Tront-T tanks that need a new home. I tend to stay total Eggie these days.

I'm with you on the stocking of CLRs. They unexpectedly turned out to be one of my fave pop in coils. Now, I have 'many'. ;)

That drip tip appears to be sort of a KF-esque style. It was a cheapie from FT, a rainbow tip, but sadly as of now, discontinued.

I like it atop my Lava tube. Yeah, ol' skool, moi.

I am secretly wondering if any of my CLR friends are using the 0.5 ohm coils? I accidentally purchased a pack and I am not impressed with them thus far. Don't get me wrong, they seem to be made to work. If you shut down the airflow "really" tight---I guess they can work. The flavor is quite unimpressive, in my humble opinion.

Sweet, kind, attractive, stylish, affluent, extremely intelligent, CLR users as we all are. I seek your opinion on this matter?

Happy Mothers Day!

Very beautyful setup Katdarling ! A little too shiny for my taste
Thanks for the FT link, I like the shape but thought it was a copper one.
To come over this :

Trader X, i accidentally bought some .5 ohms coils a few years ago.
I used two, and the 3 others are still in their package :
Compared to all the others i use, 1ohm, 0.2 Ni, 0.25 ni, 0.4 Ti and of course CLR, they have lower taste, and give me constant dry hits due to bad liquid alimentation.
Definitively a no-go.
If I want to go sub ohm I build a good CLR !

Happy Mothers Day!

You should be able to just swap the positive base pin with one from a 1.0 and be in business. The positive pin in the 0.5 is a gold color, and has bigger air hole. The 1.0 CLR should have a silver pin. It can be from a CL coil as well, doesn't matter.

I don't remember the exact air hole sizes of the two pins, off the top of my head. They're listed somewhere among the 495 pages of the thread, but I couldn't find it.

and yes, Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms.

Speaking of the Pico tank have a few from FT the knock off and learned about the o-ring on top its been a long time but did buy some o-rings and it stopped leaking that is if memory serves me correctly just please do not supoena me to congress to refresh it ! -
Anyways i do recall the taste was great but being some sort of plastic the tank can easily strip its threads and i also cracked several with my hand trying to unscrew them until it finally hit me in my coconut to use tiny screwdriver insert in hole and twist them off.
In the end just too much hassle. But a redesign of tank to glass and stainless somehow the tank may have been a winner oh well.

These days and personal opinion only there is only 1 tank that beats the clr in taste and ease of usage and vape daily as well but the coilheads are not re build able but do last a good while in this household and asked Phil if ever there would be a coilhead that is rebuild able and told no.

Have hundreds of new clr's as does the Mrs and these days they just get dry burned and rewicked as the coil itself for the Mrs and i last and last and at my age no need to ever buy more of them.
Took the Mrs out to Hibachi Japanese restaurant yesterday eve made reservations luckily as place was packed and the food was much enjoyed.
Happy Mothers Day to all .
