dry hits would be wick not getting enuff juice
due to something not allowing juice TO GET TO the wick
or over heating the wick (juice can't keep up)
try several times to see what happens ; you'll know when ya went TO FAR, because then you'll experience 'gurgle'
•if you have cotton (wick) PACKED so tight it won't allow flow of juice (wicking) that could be an issue
•too much air flow; closing air flow some changes the ratio making sucking harder draw MORE juice into wick
(might not be exactly how you want to vape (set-up) but will narrow down your problem)
these are some trouble shooting trix I used to use when I had any troubles

That's unfortunate!!!
I love the CLR coils and have plenty of eGo ONE Mega V2 Tanks for my "At Home" Mods.
For "Out & About"...the eGo ONE V2 and eGo ONE Mega V2 are larger than my eGo AIO's.
However the eGo ONE Mini is noticeably smaller than the eGo AIO...(and uses the CLR coils as a bonus).
But...those "slit windows" on the tank are scaring me off...(and why I was looking for a "Mini V2" with the bigger windows)...

•standard 19mm (1500mah)
•mega 22mm (2200mah)
then
•mini 16mm (??mah)
I too like bigger windows generally. However, the slit windows clearly (to me, anyway) make it more difficult to break the glass, so it might be better for out-and-about use.
Quick question for those who rebuild CLR heads: What do you use as a base for rebuilding?
I hate having to down a tank to rebuild coils, so I'd like something other than the tank base to hold the coil while I'm working on it.

Wow, I'm glad I stumbled in here this morning. I like the look of that Ego One Mini Tank. Think I might pickup a couple. I see it measures 33mms in height. Does that include drip tip? Been interested in the CLR for some time but by the time I discovered it everything was big window V2s and Trons. Not appealing to me.

then I was ordering some for stock (a sale) and discovered they had bigger windows than the originals
they are getting hard to find...

Sigh, had a SS and a Magic Blue practically on their way to me. Hit the pay button ....... my prepaid online Amex card ain't good enuf for them. Arrr, maybe I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if they can accept it by phone.
