do you try rinse with warm water (good and wet) then screw them out ?
what I do when one sticks or I do that all the time...

;)

Never thought of that. I'll try that next time. Thanks!
Eww.... Maybe you should consider rewicking a bit more often. ;)

Mine come out easily with a help of a simple pair of tweezers. Just sayin'...

Yeah, I'm a terrible procrastinator. It'll be the death of me.
Our time is running out, Gran. August 8th is just around the corner. After that, who knows what will happen. Maybe nothing--maybe our happy shopping days will be gone forever.

From what I understand, we won't have to worry about stuff that's on the market for another 2 years+. No new stuff (innovations) can be sold unless the manufacturer submits a PTMA(?) for the device/product.

I am getting lots of "popping" and a hot vape on my 2 ml. V2 Ego One. I am using the 1.0 Ohm CLR coil with the original wick. I usually vape around 12-14 Watts. Not sure if I should go up or down in Watts or just replace the wick with my Sally's rayon? The juice is a 50/50 blend. Suggestions?

Hi, Jingles. I have one CLR 1.0 kanthal coil in a Mega VT that runs hot. I've re-wicked with rayon several times. It still runs hot. I've moved the tank from one mod to another to another. Runs hot.

Solution: drop the watts down to 6.6. I know that sounds absurdly low, but it works.
Now getting good flavor and lots of vapor.

It wouldn't fire at 6.6 W's on my IStick 40W. For now, I have settled on 10W's and it seems to be better, less hot. It's still a noisy little bugger though...
The juice could be the culprit of noise. May be water in it. Try and take out the cotton and replace it with rayon and just keep it as low as you can and tell us what the outcome is. Nice to see you Jingles! :)

Haven't given the i-stick 40 much attention lately. Ran the hot coil Mega on an Invader Mini, a Pico, and finally on a Defender 50. Let's see what happens on the istick 40...

Reading 1.02 ohms
6.6 w / 2.59 v
Fair vapor, weak flavor. Running cool

8 w / 2.65 v
Lots of vapor, fair flavor, warm

10 w / 3.19 v
Lots of vapor, burned flavor, hot.

Back to the Defender 50
6.7 w 2.6 v
Lots of vapor, strong flavor, warm

Conclusions:
1. Put the istick 40 away again. Better yet, PIF it.

2. Next time the CLR needs a new wick, put the current coil
out of my misery and build a new one.

3. Wait patiently for Cheech to explain why the coil runs hot.

Got sick of Mr. (Ms. ? ) Hottie Coil. Re-coiled with 28 ga. Ti. Kept the small diameter silver pin. 6 wraps on a 3/32 screwdriver. 0.44 ohms.

This is a hybrid: temp. control on a wattage style CLR body.
VApes like a dream. Similar to the air flow of a wide open Tron-s, but more vapor and flavor than CLR kanthal.

8 mg nic, max vg, 360° at 12 watts. No complaints.

One handed, took about 5 minutes, including sonic cleaning of all parts.

I'm more worried about the age verification requirement and how it will be implemented. I already had one vendor refuse my order--they wouldn't ship to CA for no good reason, really--just extra cautious. Lightning Vapes is already asking for a copy of your ID when you place an order--I don't want to send photocopies of my DL to random ecig vendors.

A question on wicking the CLR. How long are you leaving the tails?
My first rewick leaked. I had cut the tails too close and had some leaking - nothing major but annoying. So I pulled that wick and did a 2nd with the ends a bit longer. That worked fine - no leaking at all. I am on my 3rd rewicking (really dark juice). I left the end longer like the 2nd but am getting a teeny bit of weeping from the airholes with this one.
I am using rayon and it is snug in the coil.

I try to clip mine as close to the base as possible. What's the PG/VG ratio on your juice?
