so you only have ONE 5-pak of 1.0Ω coils ????

what do ya think of the 'draw' < just right - to tight - to loose >

Yes, I need to get more. I think it's just right!

I just rebuilt the coil, wow, super easy and fun!

was wondering if you might like the bigger air hole of the .5Ω
but if you-be-happy @ the smaller air hole of the 1.0Ω - all should be good...

May I suggest Fasttech? They sell authentic Joyetech CLR coils for 7 bucks or so--and right now they still have a 10% off holiday coupon code REDPACKET--expires tomorrow!

I just rebuilt the coil, wow, super easy and fun!

Congratulations! :)

That hole is really big... I like a bit more air than the 1.8 mm, but 3.5 mm is way too much for me.

How do you rebuild it, Puff? Same resistance as the original? .5Ω?

Makes sense to me. I have a CoolFire 2 that I used for about 2 hours. Finally decided it was so special that I couldn't have it getting beat up and packed it away.

Perfect for air travel...

Who came up with this design, anyway? Geez...

Well what do you know?! (A lot obviously) the new coil worked! Silly me, I should've thought of that before

Sound like you may have a connectivity problem with that one coil. Happens. I use Madvapes' circuit board spacers when this happens, but they are out of stock ATM. When/if they do restock, I suggest getting a few of those--they work great.

seems I don't care for the closer to .5Ω builds (& lower)

I stay MOSTLY closer / just under 1.0Ω - like .8Ω .7Ω .99Ω 1.12Ω etc
then I have a 1.4Ω mood

but I just got used to the 3.5mm air hole and it is all the wife & me use (so means we can't even use the small hole anymore)

Too much cotton. Cotton swells when it gets wet. If you make the cotton snug, and then it swells, no juice is getting to the coil. The cotton should slide smoothly through the coil, but still make contact everywhere...

Or, try Rayon... rayon doesn't swell...

Grrrrrrrr. I'm getting dry hits. Juice flow wide open on a 1.5ohm 2.5mm kanthal coil with KGD cotton and 50/50 juice. :grr:

sounds ' vapor-locked ' to me

take tank off, close air flow and cover with fingers - suck on it then WATCH to see bubbles rise ! !
might have to do it several times until ya get it in a good air ratio...

also try to put another cotton in it

Exactly! I have this same issue every other refill cuz my dumb .... refuses to stop filling until I've put in every drop that will fit! Then it locks up! I know better yet I STILL do it.:facepalm:

Yeah. I was very unhappy, initially, with the 3.2 mm AF hole on my Kayfun 5--now I like it, even though I still (and probably always will) do MTL. Funny how that goes.

What diameter coil do you make for those? 2.5 mm?

As my learned colleagues already pointed out, you're vapor locked. :D

Too much cotton, not enough airflow, or too much juice in the tank. Good luck.

Also, remember to juice up every new coil directly and let it saturate for a couple of minutes.

can't make up my mind which I like better, but it is always 2.5mm OR 3.0mm

biggest part is not anything with performance (between the two) but best/easiest to wick (yes, no kidding)
I struggle with consistency of making my wicks mostly 'cause I HATE TO WASTE (even tho I got a box the size of a dumpster)
