This may be a no brainer but how low is it safe to let the tank get?

with TEMP CONTROL, you can run it bone dry, no vapor produced is the signal your tank is empty and no burnt hits... :thumb::nah: :thumb::nah:

but I've had some issues with the tank getting down to (25%) and a low internal pressure allows it to leak, seep... :|
(y'all knew what I meant, seems low fluid level creates a weak vacuum inside that allows some leakage)

So far I've never had a problem letting mine run right down to the bottom where there's literally only 1 drop left. My tanks are V.1's though...

I was taught in the same school (of thought) as the PuffZ. It's truly supposed to be "better" to have more of a consistent ratio of air to liquid which is why we've sort of promoted filling up tanks and not vaping them low.

On the other hand, since using rayon for wicking, I've had no problem vaping down to the last drop, like you, ceeceeisme.

But in terms of "safe", Chels? I don't think there's anything intrinsically unsafe about vaping it down.

Thanks, @Katdarling, that's helpful! I usually keep my tank at least half full but now I love my egg roll SO much, I find myself going through lots more juice (about 2 weeks ago I switched from 18 mg to 12 mg nic, so I'm sure that has something to do with my increased juice consumption)

Definitely, or shall I say, at least for me the same thing happened. 6mg was too big of a change for me, so I just ended up vaping a ton more. I was fine at 18mg for years and years and years, but eventually about a year ago, I felt the need for a bit less nic. I settled at 15mg. which is absolutely perfect for my vape style.

@pufZeppelin I've been bad I think. I've thrown away a CLR coil. :( In the box of 5 that I'm using 3 spaces are empty. I found 1 in the coil box waiting to be rewicked, I'm using 1 on a spare tank but can't find the 3rd. Guess that means I need to order another pack of 5 to replace that 1. Right?

You must also do DIY?

Hey guys, what do you make of this? I bought both of these packages from Fasttech. The first package certainly looks genuine to me (silver foil backing). The second package sure looks like clones to me :( Ever see genuine Joyetech coils packed like this? I haven't.

When you start burning your dry coil/scorching the cotton, you're in unsafe zone. You don't want to inhale smoke (formaldehyde and God knows what else). Other than that, just refill, if you can, when your tank is less that 1/4 full--or so. If you're in TC mode, you don't have to worry at all.

Yeah I don't do TC mode so I'll just have to keep it 1/4 full or more [emoji4]

All of mine look like these--not from FT:

And all of mine (some FT, some not), look like the ones on the left in your pic, ceecee.

Odd.

But prolly not too much to worry about. How do the ones you've identified as "clones" vape?

I don't know that they are genuine Joyetech coils. I've bought clones before (once from a Canadian vendor and once on eBay) both sellers were upfront about them being clones, not genuine Joyetech's. Both were packed in these black plastic trays with clear heat seal wrap. I was always working under the assumption that only the silver backed packages were genuine Joyetech's.

So then, the ones in the black plastic packages work okay? My experience with clones has not been good. :nah:

I haven't tried them yet - I just discovered this today.
