I sure hope so. Your link doesn't work for me, but I trust you. Took me a while to get out of there. I have Malwarebytes Premium (paid subscription) and they've been good to me. I ran a scan and I'm clean.
Glad to hear it. The ZEUS is a form of adware that loves to scare their prey into buying their products. I hate those..... which is another reason I went to chromebook.

I can't update a firmware product on chromebook because it does rely on Win or Mac os, so I keep my old Window XP(professional version) computer running. I have purchased newer pc's but those ads, along with the lastest greatest versions of whatever(NOT) just made me feel like I wasted my $.

Oh dear Lord...

Thanks for letting me know, I'll get over there eventually, as soon as I figure out this download, that is not working for me at all.

I downloaded the V3, it's in my downloads folder, I plug in my Presa and nothing much happens. I don't know what gives...

Remove the battery while downloading?

Thought it would be something for you to give a glance, sweetie.

I had been looking at these for a while now. Finally ordered over the weekend.....I really like the fire panel bars instead of buttons as they are so much easier for older hands to operate. Btw, I got the gold one also.

:)

That IS one kute lil mod, S&S. I love the black and gold! Please do report on what you think of it.

So what's up with this Zeus virus scam with the Preggers update???

(no, I've not even attempted, as I'm not quite sure why I'd need it at this point.)

Missed this. Nothing. I must have clicked on something, somewhere, not related to the download. Sorry for even bringing it up--I had some other windows open. The download is clean and safe and my computer didn't object to anything once I started following Sugar's instructions.

Just do it! :)

I don't think its with the Presa update, I think its just Kayta's machine. She may have some adware on her machine that triggers it.

It's preferred by people who are trying to avoid nickel. But I don't know that I'm necessarily afraid of a little nickel in my alloy. ;)We all started with Nichrome wire and some are still using it. I probably wouldn't go 100% nickel, but, on the other hand, Evolv chose it as their preferred wire for dna 40 and I know that they did some studies wrt to its safety.

Considering that ss 316L is so much easier to work with and you don't have to bother with TCR settings, I'm going to go with ss 316L--FWIW. :D

Speaking of Nichcrome wire it was originally used in Lionels trains smoke unit wound around a porcelain type piece and pellets dropped down the smoke unit and they would puff away. Still have some from the 50s that work great. Few years back bought about 5ft of it to rewind some of the smoke units that the wire broke from years of use.

Now i drip on them (4 drops) with liquid smoke from MTH to make em smoke as this is the more modern way even though the pellets were remade they are expensive. There is batting under it to soak up the liquid not shown.
In my clrs i just use kanthal and keep it simple thats me. ; )

The 'Burgh, PA.
SS430 is preferred by many because of it's 0 Ni content (you did know SS was an alloy, right?). However, it's springy and brittle, so not the best for coils IMO.

It's preferred by people who are trying to avoid nickel. But I don't know that I'm necessarily afraid of a little nickel in my alloy.

So...if SS-430 has NO Nickel...what is the Nickel % in SS-316L ???

Molybdenum sounds Alien to me, but I'll still do it. Much better than choking on smokes.

304/316 is regular ss alloy using nickel.

316L was known as "medical grade" or surgical steel. Has same % of nickel or higher but nickel was bound in a process so it didn't leech. So they thought. Turned out it does leech, sometimes more than 304/316. No longer used for medical devices (hip replacements) or tattooing. Still sold as "nickel free" in jewelry except eu. There are some 316's that don't leech but no way of knowing which ones. Main point is 316L is about the process. Same content as reg 316.

430 is a marine grade using no nickel in the alloy.

Unkamen is a good supplier. If they say "non reactive" then it is. That's the extent of my knowledge as someone sensitive to nickel but loves jewelry = have to make my own (maybe a reason I dread making my own coils). I also get wire from The Ring Lord, Reactive Metals. I don't know wire from a vaping perspective.

I 've always wondered why no one explored niobium. It's pure, no alloys (unlike ti) and heavily used in electronics, speakers for it's superior conductivity. It's very soft like silver but can be hardened like all the other metals. The $ has gone up due to demand. I just expected it to be mentioned eventually - and I don't understand metals when it comes to vaping.

I just learned that some 430 alloys can have up to 5% of nickel, also. No way of knowing which ones, I guess.

But Unkamen is indeed well regarded.

Funny thing about nickel allergies. Mamu, who was one of the beta testers for DNA40, was allergic to nickel--she had to wear gloves to build coils, but had no problems vaping on nickel coils. Go figure.

Why don't you suggest it to modders in @mikepetro 's big thread? I know nothing about metals.
