So...what do you think @Katya? Think these clr coils are as good enough to use as my good old ce2s?:|

I know drastic change here. :w00t:

:vapor::laugh:

Zelda! Where have you been hiding, girlfriend?

Don't ask me--you know I never liked those CE2s, 4s, 5s, etc. Except for that one carto that our sweet Billy fixed for me. I miss him so much...

So yeah, FWIW, I love those CLR coils. They are great right out of the box, even better when rewicked, and absolutely fantastic when I recoil them myself--piece of cake.

So good to see you again! :)

Every thing the same as the other coil, except 1 less wrap.

Seriously now. Are you sure you're not miscounting those wraps? Very easy to do when working with such a thin wire. Maybe the loops are overlapping? The Ohm's law cannot be defied. The longer the wire, the higher the resistance.

May I suggest that you switch to 29 or 28 gauge? Just a thought. I can't work with 30 g myself at all. Drives me nuts.

So true used to use 32g on my mmvapor did's .
Anyways nowadays i like the 27 and 28g kanthal wire holds up nice in the clr coils which is nice when changing out the cotton which i often do for that nice clean taste.

Also use and like the coil master.

Like to add one thing learned when making clr coils.

There is a tiny groove in the insulator and the coil casting itself . One leg of coil bends over the groove in casting and groove of insulator should be lined up as well then pushed in and leg trimmed even otherwise it can create problems .
Here in picture of one of my old well used coil head you can see that groove in coil head and in the insulator in bottom of picture of the 2 pieces.
As a note leg is not in groove its out and away from it.
Most know about it but for those that do not as its there for a reason.
Again don't let the one bent over leg go past end of groove as it will hit the threads of base when inserting .
Your ohms should have a steady reading until coil starts to gunk up then readings will slowly rise .
Hope this helps some folks.

Yep, it's there, a very slight groove. I'm wondering tho if that's intentional or it's a depression that's formed from the wire being there. At any rate, I'll pay attention to that when rebuilding.

You see it on brand new never used coil heads and should be lined up with groove in the casting.

But maturity is boring! I say have fun with life, as far as I know we only go around this merry-go-round once, so why not enjoy yourself?[emoji4]

And...anything worth doing...is worth doing to EXCESS!!! :headbang:

Good find/call. I didn't notice the groove in the insulator either.

Been using the same, SS-rebuilt CLR coil for several months now in TC mode. It just gets lightly dry-burned and re-wicked now and again. I still think I get better flavor from my Kayfun Mini v3 clone - which I also use every day - but these CLRs also produce great flavor and are soooo easy to rebuild! The 4 ml capacity of the tanks (Tron S and Totally Wicked's CLL tanks) add to the convenience.

well I got my èPetite (DNA60) in today's vapemail... so trying to re-inact the scene o_O
I've picked up a lot about the DNA chip over time, but I still need to get better familiar with it...

View attachment 638929

as always the case I was surprised when I opened the box, IT'S SMALL
very well built, and vapes the champ...

:smokie:
How are you doing with that Epetite now that you've had it for a month? Although it's a bit out of my comfort zone price-wise, I'm keeping my eye on it. Does it have built-in settings for SS316L?

Waiting for DJLsb's DNA 60/200 review. Always wanted to try a DNA device and Daniel has intimated that using escribe may no longer be necessary as there are plenty of accessible "presets" built-in. Plus, I'm looking for a good TC device that has a better throw on its spring-loaded 510 pin than my Evic VTC/V2 Minis.

Or have you already moved on to the Smok AL85?

Have mods with DNA chip and no problems with it, escribe downloaded to computer when first purchase made i have to say its nice to be able to change settings in mod such as preheat and battery % instead of battery bar scheme.

Say what? This one?

Odyssey CLL Tank

Kinda pricey. Is it better than our eGo Ones?
Same beast... minor cosmetic variations... TW licenses Joyetech/Wismec/iStick products... rebrands them...

Yeah, that's what I suspected.

Pricey is spot on . Do not own one but i doubt its better vape wise , maybe material wise if its made of ss or titanium which neither material is used for the ego mega series tanks.
Sanded base of black ego v2 base to match silver top tank and with a heavy hand copper color started to show through.
Now i know i can create a nice copper colored v2 and polish nice with my dremel afterwards,
