so I am wondering if my 'speculation' of the demise of the eGo ONE system has been grossly exaggerated
could it be joyetech is just allowing a lull in production so current inventory can be depleted and an upgraded product being released
perhaps this could tell a story of good marketing...

surfing web-sites (as I do) I see this NEW 'tweaked" version of an old favorite
this is WHAT the original format was - two coils / two drip tips / one tank, one battery
the ONE kit everyONE could buy and set it up as you please
1.0Ω coil and the small bore drip tip (mtl) OR .5Ω coil and the large bore drip tip (dl)
then any other combination user might want, but with removeable independent tank (they can keep their all-in-ones)
about the time the eGo ONE hit the market, SubOhming was spreading its wings, & TEMP CONTROL was gearing up to take over the world...
now Vesh showed us a CL Ni coil with a small bore air hole (mtl) style which is also NEW

it only makes sense for Joyetech to take advantage of one of the most useable, popular devices ALREADY on the market
now JUST FINE TUNE IT - so I can adjust the watts and slip a 18650 battery in the eGo ONE tube and they truly "couldn't make 'em fast enuff"

    Provari. ;)

got a few of them there, and I prefer the SVD 2.0
bought in at $29, then a couple more @ $19

and at this time I would not buy any of the mentioned (for me)

but for a newbie that is trying to transition from the evil cigarette , the eGo ONE seems to be " just the ticket " :D

Finally a TC coil for MTL and it has to be nickel :(
I'm skeered to try nickel because I'm allergic to it in jewelry.
    don't worry my friend,

Joyetech have the ProCL coil 0.6 ohm which is SS36L, and also a MTL coil :)
Reality available and inexpensive. Enjoy :)

If they build it I will...not finish that sentence the way I was originally going to, as it could be (almost definitely would be considering some of the dirty minds around this thread) misconstrued.
I loved my original Ego One, it was my first set up and I would most likely not have kept vaping if I hadn't gotten it. Used it daily for my first 6 months or so. I PIFed it primarily because I knew someone looking for something with a tube shape and built in battery, and I had very quickly moved onto 18650 box mods so it wasn't really being used anymore. But a version that takes 18650s? Yep, I'd be all over it.

Now I have to order a pack to try them out....:)
they're good in tc mode but as my review elsewhere had said, joyetech have grossly overrated them in watts mode. They say 15-30 watts, and at 29 watts it tastes worse than an ashtray, the hit is THAT burnt.

17 watts in non TC mode is about the safety sweet spot, and make sure to prime them a lot with a good soaking.. They don't gurgle or flood.
In TC mode, you can happily vape at 23 watts and 440F without issue. Remember that all depends on your mod's SS316 mode. Not ironically, they work great with Joyetech SS mode "out of the box", so obviously what they were tuned for. DNA's and Yihi needs a lot of mucking about with TCR's to get it right, who would have figured?

The only reason I prefer the nickel coils is it can go to higher temps and watts therefore more throat hit and more vapour. However, i have received 2 duds already, so this is something to keep a note of. The second one I tried would just not temp control at all, any mod would just hover it at around 200F and leave it there, as if it wasn't made of nickel at all. And another one's resistance was being read at ridiculous levels like 0.58.. Now have one at 450 F on an ipv6X in nickel mode and it's working perfectly (25 Joules).
I am not sure if it's the coils fault or the fact they were shipped in a skimpy bag and the boxes were crushed, therefore there probably was actual damage.. But who knows for sure. If anyone else tries them do let us know your experience if possible. Cheers

    nice job Franny :)

I think the $21 kit is a very nice set up... :headbang:
I actually got it for hubs. I'm trying to find a replacement for his Buzz Pro that died after 6 years of daily use.

Raising hand Fran also would want a CLR 4/5ml TOP FILL tank.
It can be done but will they ?

Thing is ... I have yet to try a top-fill tank that doesn't leak at all. One thing I like about my eGo One tank is it's totally non drip. Rebuildable AND nonleaky? Yes! I can easily live with bottom-fill, which turns out to be faster and easier than all my "take off the drip tip, close the air control and/or juice control, fill from the top, but be sure to leave an air pocket, then screw on the top, but just a little, then turn it upside down and finish screwing on the top, then open the air flow, then turn it right side up and put on the drip tip and ... oh, hey, it's still leaking anyway! Awesome!" top fill tanks*.

Of course my sample size is limited, and I'm sure(?) that there are non-leaky top-fill tanks, and maybe even non-leaky top fill tanks that you can just, like, open the top and fill -- without all the voodoo shenanigans but I've just been feeling like bottom fill is a lot more reliable that way.

    * My KFM 3s are actually mostly good in this regard if wicked right, yet even they do tend to occasionally just randomly leak from the air holes for no particular reason. I try to think of it as an outpouring of love.
