Please don’t hate me but, I’m not finding the happy spot with the egg roll:(. I’ve done everything I know to do and it still gives me a muted flavor compared to my nectar. This must be a “Lefty “ thing and not a egg roll. I’m very happy with my nectar and so are my taste buds :). I will still keep my egg rolls and try again in a few months. Thank you @stols001

Hate you? LOL, that's never going to happen @leftyandsparky ! In fact, you ever want to unload your eggrolls, let me know. LOL.

I think different equipment suits everyone differently. I happen to love the original V1 ego mega, and have gone to great lengths to get my hands on a couple more.

But, some tanks just don't suit everyone. If the flavor isn't there for you, no need to apologize. I mean, lots of folks are using the Ego Mega v2 with success-- and yet, I cannot get the tanks to read to save my life, with the CLR coil. They may as well be disposable tanks for me. I like everything ELSE about them, but getting coils to read has proven itself more than a challenge. I don't feel like those who find no issues with that tank are "judging" me in any way. I happen to be hard on my vapes, and I've kind of found, generally, that sometimes for me trying non-proprietary coils in a setup just doesn't go so well. Etc.

Maybe the coil would suit you in a different tank, and there are certainly many to choose from, etc. I'm just hoping my replacements get here soon.

But there's no reason torturing yourself over a tank that many folks like, if its not for you. I'd say revisiting them in a few months is a great idea, and if it doesn't work, well you have your answer. That particular setup is just not for you.

There is an elderly woman smoker in the neighborhood that noticed I vape and asked me about switching to it herself. She showed me print out of one of the V2 mods that she said she was considering ordering. I told her not too order it as it was way too expensive and not all the good.

I also told her that I could give her one of the inexpensive kits I have stock piled. I am giving her an eVic mini with ego one mega and 1 ohm coils.

I asked her how much she smoked and basically she used to do a pack or more a day but about a year ago managed to cut down to 10 or less cigs a day. She is going to go get some ejuice for the mod. She wanted tobacco flavor so I explained to her that nothing is going to taste like tobacco as it isn't burning. I told her to just pick up a bottle of Naked 100 American Tobacco in 6 mg to try it out for a few days. I can always add nic to it if she wants more.

Do you think 6mg is going to work for her in the mega with 1 ohm coil since she only does about 10 cigs a day?

She seems to be doing fine with 6 mg. I don't know if she is just toughing it out or actually really good with it. But she doesn't want to up the nicotine as she said she wants to taper off slowly. She hasn't smoked at least.

To paraphrase Chris Rock -
There is no hatin' in the Eggroll thread.

Everything we do in this (vape) game is 100% personal. There's no "right" or "best" or anything of the sort - other than "right" or "best" for me/you/etc..

If we like it, we keep using it. If we don't, we stop using it. Easy, and non-judgmental.

Exceptions, none.

I’ve thought about this a lot today, I think I need to up my flavor % in my ejuice. I remember when I went from my protank to the nectar, the flavor was so strong that I had to cut back on it to use my nectar. When I make a new batch I will set aside a little that has more flavoring in it.

On the egg roles not being read by the mod...I have had this happen with a few tanks and mods and found this works for me. ymmv lol
Before installing the coil in the base, push the 510 pin(located at the bottom of tank base) out just a little but not all the way. Sometimes that connection is just a hair short so I help it a bit by doing this. When you screw the tank on it will adjust the pin back up to make the connections. Just watch the screen to see if it is reading it. No reading of atomizer, as you know, means no connection between tank and mod. I have had this happen on other tanks as well but this fix seems to work.

Might also help to screw the coil in tightly before mounting the tank base on your mod.

If you look into the base of the tank with the coil out, you see a screw. The positive pin of the coil connects to the screw, which screw is in turn connected to the positive pin of the tank’s 510 connection. There is sometimes a small amount of play in that screw to 510 positive pin assembly, so screwing down the coil in tightly before mounting the base on a mod can sometimes push the positive pin of the 510 connection outwards a smidgeon.

Hope that explanation is clear enough...:?:

You provided me that solution earlier, @Sugar_and_Spice , and it worked a few times, but after awhile, I could be turning the screw up or down, and it makes no difference as far as my ability to get the tanks to read. Sigh. I know it should work, it has worked for a brief minute. Those tanks just don't survive drops well, with all of then I was able to get then to read at first, but if I have bad drop, the first thing to go is going to be the tank's inability to read the mod.

It probably IS a good solution for most people, like I said, I'm hard on my gear. I can drop a V1 with zero issues (and, I have dropped it). But, it's all good I was able to get my sticky little hands on more V1s, by buying a couple starter kits I figure it's less expensive than the alternative, when my 4th V2 stopped working, I was just done with it. I also like the V1 better in lots of ways, more room for bottom fill, I prefer the airflow and etc.

I am not saying that the V2s are bad for anyone but me. LOL. But once my 4th one died, I had to accept that they were not good, for me.

I'm in a state of confusion this morning, nothing new really, but I ordered the TW Odyssey CLL Tank, and have been waiting for it to show up. I was thinking that TW is in the US, but the payment went thru Buybest Technology Company Limited, which looks like a Chinese company, and the tracking# looks to come from China. So, am I getting this right? It's just that I didn't think I'd be waiting 2-3 weeks for this to show up.

TW originated in the UK and had a shop/warehouse in Florida until all the deeming stuff started up. For a while there it looked as if they would pull that store but I remember that after the initial shock of the deeming wore off, I think they decided to stay.

I'd shoot them an email to ask.

IIRC They're a British company that has exclusive license in Joyetech/Wismec/Eleaf products. So, it's likely coming out of China...

That's also why many Chinese sites have that little disclaimer "this product cannot be shipped to such and such a location."

TW used to have a US presence, but they pulled out shortly after the deeming dropped.

I received a shipping notice right-quick, but it's hanging in China still. I expected it was going to be a while when I hit the Order button.

Yeah, just one per person. A quick phone call, when I saw the post, solved that easily though. I graciously let her order first, in case they ran out.

Of course, I'd have begged and pleaded for it if that had happened. ;-)

Think they might still be around - at least according to their website. I know they were talking about shutting down, but I’m not sure they did.

LOL! Not the reply I expected (nor intended), but I'll take it. :D

@oplholik - about an hour after I posted (shipping), I received an update that it was on the move again. Have you received any shipping notices yet?

Regarding the reported connections issues, I've run the gamut, and have experienced some with all versions of the tank in my stock. I usually can correct it by switching tanks.

When all else fails, the OlaX Hero saves the day (adjustable 510 connector). I wish they'd bring those under-appreciated mods back. If for nothing else, The Eggroll Life works better when they're on hand.
