So, as mentioned in one of my previous threads I am looking to upgrade over my current cig lookalike. I was looking at an ego system but have had recent thoughts on looking at the lavatube.
Any thoughts on which is best and whether the lavatube mini is any good? Also, when buying from the UK does anyone have any suggestions on a good stockist and how I can be assured I'm getting the most up to date model?
Thanks to everyone for their continued support on this site, it is extremely helpful for us newbies.

Ego's last a long time but don't compare to LT's, VV mods are much more advanced. With mods you just buy a couple of batts and use one while one is charging and with ego you have to have a couple of units and Lt's batts last a whole lot longer, you can also adjust voltage on Lt's to find your "sweet spot" so I wouldn't bother with ego's unless you want a smaller unit. I have no idea where you find your supplies in the UK but I am sure you can.....Have you tried Liberty Flights in the UK.....they are a great company to deal with!:vapor:

I picked up an Ego passthru from LF - nice to be able to vape and charge at the same time ;)
Price was around 30-40% of the price of a lavatube + batteriy + charger + etc....
(went for the 900ma version - lasts me a good few evenings!)

I've been using the ego for two years; I recently bought a lavatube mini and WOW! I use the lavatube at home and on my long commutes to and from work and the ego to stealth vape while at work. I am one of those almost non-stop vapers and the lavatube battery lasts me a whole day, sometimes longer. I use a DCT tank on it from Mom and Pop Vapors; and dual coil cartos on my ego.
I originally looked at a Provari; but until my beer budget allows for this upgrade, the lavatube has been a very good investment. It is very user friendly and with the tank I don't have to constantly fill up cartos. Good luck!

Big difference between the eGo and the LT unless you were thinking about the eGo Twist. If I were to return to VV I would consider the LT. Realize there are different versions of the LT out there with the latest version addressing some of the earlier issues. LT is larger with very long batt life whereas the eGo Twist comes in 650 mah or 1000 mah but doesn't last as long. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping.
Good Luck.

I have had both. Egos for over a year now, and the Lavatube for about 7 months. I actually prefer the ego batteries with the 1.5 dual coil or 1.7 single coil carts in the tank. The lavatube does not handle dual coil carts well at all. It works ok with the single coils, but I prefer the smaller size of the ego batts.

I have tried over and over to get the 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 ohm carts to work well with the lavatube, but to no avail. The 2.5 amp limit on the switch just killed it or me.
