Since you know your way around an ecig. I'd say go for the kit that has what you need for the better price. If the looks are important the riva has a gold ring and the eGo a silver one. The Riva has a rubber button and the eGo a plastic one. The riva has a slightly larger capacity battery but very slight. They are both 510 threaded. They are very comparable to each other.

Bottom line, I'd say go for the best deal you can find. liberty flights often has good deals on em.

Two months ago I chose the Riva for the 750mah batteries, but now there are eGo kits sold with the newer 900 and higher batteries. (I may add some links, but I'm not great at finding the good, up to date, deals)

I don't know much about this seller (except he is in my area), but this seems to be a desent price for a Joye eGo (900) kit: http://www.alvinecigs.com/Joye-Ego-p/joyeego.htm
(ooops, didn't notice at first, it's OUT OF STOCK)

If you have narrowed your search down to the Ego or the Riva then I'd snag a Riva because they are normally less expensive. I think you can get a starter kit that has 2 complete units at Liberty Flights for $30. The black dildo's... umm... I mean the black Riva's are nice. lol

BTW... The Ego and Riva battery's are identical as far as both being 650 mah's. The Riva's recored test data was performed differently than the Ego which is why you hear 650 vs 750 mah. They are the same.

I think the best deal at the moment is the Riva lite kit from Liberty Flights. Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510. I just received one of these a few days ago for a friend. I set it up for him (cleaned the primer out of the attys and so on), and there's not much difference between it and my Ego. It's a really good kit at a really good price. I bought my Ego from LF on one of their sales and I like it slightly better. I paid ten dollars more and got two cones instead of one and button protectors for both units so I was happy. I also slightly prefer the Ego atty (2.4 ohm vs 2.2 for Riva), but really there isn't much difference between the two. I think you'll be quite pleased with either model.

I only own the ego, but I understand the cone on the Riva is a slip fit as opposed to the Ego which threads on. It seems the threaded cone on the Ego would be more secure and it Does do a good job of containing any leakage in case of an overfill or if you drip straight into the atty (which I do most of the time). Not sure if the Riva cone would be as close to "leak proof" or if it depends on an oring or something similar to hold it on which might be prone to wearing out. Also the button on the Riva is rubber vs hard plastic&lighted on the Ego (just a personal preference thing).

If I had to buy another eGo kit, knowing what I know now, I'd actually skip the kit and look for sales to purchase a few 900 maH batteries, a few LR eGo mega atomiser and a USB charger. The mega cart will hold nearly 60 drops but I have found that about 30 with a loose blue filler mod really works great and the LR mega atty really produces.
