I have both and really like both of them. The only difference to is the VYPR takes rechargeable batteries that you can get from several different suppliers that are cheaper. They both rock!! :)

I guess I cannot go wrong with either of them. Do they vape the same? I read Joye products run at 3.1v rather then full 3.7v.

How is the button holding up? Any battery issues?

Thanks

I don't find the 3.1v from the Ego/Tornado batts lacking. In fact the flavour and th you get from the Ego/Tornado is way over my expectation. No accidental firings on the button, but the thought does hover around your head everytime you place it inside your pocket.

Easy way is to unscrew the atty slightly from the batt so that it does not make contact.

It's a really awesome e-cig. No regrets so far.

Any 14500 mod will last longer and be safer than the ego. And regardless of the initial price, 14500s will always be cheaper in the long run.

The average 14500 battery is good for 900mAh, while the ego is only rated for 650mAh. Protected 14500 batteries have short protection built-in, the ego doesn't. All batteries die eventually, and replacement ego battery costs $20-$30, while protected 14500s can be had for as little as $5 for a 2-pack. And last but not least, the ego only supplies 3.2V, while 14500 mods give you a full 3.7V.

Well said might as well buy a decent battery holder much cheaper in the long run

Well, for starters you can build a simple box mod (including 2 batteries and charger) with parts from Madvapes for about $21. You can do it for even less if you buy the batteries from Dealextreme, though you'll be waiting for several weeks on shipping from China.

If you don't feel like building one yourself, you can pay a bit more and get one pre-built from a few different modders. If you want something a bit fancier than a plastic box mod, there are several 14500 mods out there. The protege, copper, detonator, nautilus, and unisex all use 14500s and are all in the $80-or-less category, and the VYPR is only a couple dollars more. One of the nicest cheap mods is the $70 mini-vapestack from madvapes. It uses a 16340 battery which is shorter and wider than a 14500, but has about the same capacity.

Any one of those will outperform a tornado/ego/riva. You can find more mods, and links to the shops selling the ones I listed here: http://www.ecigarette-mods.com

Ur far to sexy to have "the dumb" Doctor :)

Well... if you saw me earlier this week you would have noticed that while I'm off of the Vicodin... I'm pouring myself back into the bottle.

The Lisa Cuddy's of the world are having a massive emotional toll on my psyche.

I can call you "Lisa".. right? ;)
