I have a tube and switch chamber from an gutted Kgo and was thinking of what to do with it . Can I maybe add some kind of batteries to it and one on those ego pcb that a couple of sites are selling . Or should I just start from scratch with new switch and regulator such as the OKR-T/6-W12-C if they fit .

I've had a couple of those eGo pcb's for a while but haven't done anything with them yet.

I'd discard the tube and get something like this: Emergency AA Battery Charger for Cell Phone LED Light | eBay

I've put eGo connectors on a few of those so far. There are even smaller ones available but they don't have the on/off switch at the bottom.
