I think im going to give the ego a try, a lot of people here suggested that one the most. So

I hear the vapor output is solid, but how is the throat hit? Ive been thinking about what i want out of ecig, and I think a solid throat hit like a real cig is most important to me for now, i addition to it being easily refillable. The last e cig i had, from the mall, I wasnt too impressed by the throat hit even i though i exhaled what seemed to be a lot of vapor.

Throat Hit and Vapor Production are more dependent on the juice you have. Higher nic gives more TH. Higher Glycerin gives more vapor. Higher Glycol makes the vapor slightly harsher (in a good way you so feel it going down.)The eGo is solid i use the Totally Wicked Tornado witch is the re branded eGo but the exact same model. Battery life is very reliable i cheef on mine very consistently and i get 5 hours at least on a single batt. The eGo is also recommended with low-res attys so simulate high volt vaping. Its been about a week and a half with my eGo and i have no complaints other then 1 DOA atty from the multi-pack. I find that the device is a little small to me. I have fairly large hands so i feel i'd be more comfortable with the 1000mah batt. But if you like short devices then the regular will do you fine (ok well its not 'short' but i personally would like it longer). Its very well made, good company, all around great device.

IMO if your over the "It has to look like a cigarette" but not at the Performance > Looks. This is a great medium. Very sexy device.

I've been using a Tornado (same as Ego) for at least 4 months now
I used lo resistance atty's and although I have several other devices
this litle guy blows them all away.
make sure to use some good juice
Try Blue Vaping - I like Caramel tobacco or cafe caramel - 24mg 80pg/20vg
you won't be sorry.
Tasty vapor also makes some real good stuff
be aware that the lo res attys can burn out quicker that regulars but I think the throat hit and vapor volume are worth it.
hope this helps

I got the eGo and LR attys (10) and only one so far was DOA (ecig express) but the worst part is I also ordered a mega cone atty for my eGo from cignot and it is awesome. So now I'm stuck with lots of inferior LR attys and holding on to dear life with my one mega cone atty. I now have to now force my self to use LR atty when I know the mega attys are the new and improved way to go.

I got my ego at Vaporkings.com I put a order in late Sunday night they shipped it out Monday morning and it was at my house on Wednesday.
I went with the genuine joytech because from what I read it comes with the fast charger. The tornado comes with a charger for the 510 batts and has a adapter. They sell the quick charger but you would have to buy it seperatly. Someone correct me if I am Wrong. Also the one I got came with 2 complete ego's. Which is what I needed since both the wife and I needed one.
There wasn't a box but who needs the box anyway.
They had a coupon for $15 off of the egos. I dont know if they are still running that discount or not.
I dont think I vape as much as alot of people on here because I only have to charge the battery once every 24 hours. And I was a pack a day smoker. I never had the battery die on me either.
When I do charge it, it only takes about 45 min to an hour to charge.

Again i really appreciate the responses. Still a little confused honestly, i thought there was only one or 2 different egos and there would be an ego website. So there's multiple kinds of this product? and numerous different places to purchase it at?

Correct. You are ordering an eGo style.

I'm still new here but from what I understand most of them are egos they just have different packaging, colors, name and offer different things with them depending on what the company selling them wants.
There is a video on youtube that explains the different egos.
I can't post links yet so just type "Review of the Joye EGO electronic cigarette" in the youtube search to find the video.
His name Mike and I believe people on this forum have purchased kits from him before.
Hope this helps.

just watched a couple vids about the janty ego. Just about all feedback about this product is positive. looks solid

What is the name of the product that is an upgrade or just newer version of this janty ego? would that be the tornado thing?

Also, it seems kind of wierd you have to hold a button down to hit it, but noone seems to mind it so i guess i wont mind

The only difference between the eGo and the Tornado is the name branded on the battery.

Now, you can also buy an eGo with an extended 900mah battery instead of the usual 650mah. The only difference (besides battery life) is that the larger battery is about 3/4" longer.

^ok, so if i order the janty ego its basically the same product people here are talking about?

I believe that to be correct. You really can't go wrong buying any eGo kit from what I have noticed. Just get an ego at a fair price, warrenty and reviewed vendor. The confusing part starts when you want to mod it with different joye ego parts ie. LR atty, mega atty, mega battery (900+mah) and so on. For these I have had a good experience with cignot, one stop shop for all the above mentioned.

P.S. I don't know why people still like to use LR atty compared to mega atty for the ego. I've read that it's too much hit for some but to me thats a personal issue, just don't hit it so hard.

excuse me while I sit here at my desk and take a rip off my ego w/mega atty. Currently vaping CinnaBomb and Pina Colada from VaporBomb.

The product is the same, but the components in the kit and/or the price may be different.

Think of it like buying a car. If you are on a car lot and there are two cars that are the exact same model sitting side by side, you know that they can have different colors, seating options, window tint, etc. Little things that can make your experience better, but in reality don't matter to the overall functioning of the car.

I've found PVs to be very much the same. For the eGo, do you want stainless steel, pink, black, white? Do you want an extra cone? Do you want an extra atty? Do you want extended life batteries? Do you want a particular brand on it? Do you want it in its own box when it's shipped to you or are you willing to save a couple bucks to get it in a plain brown box?

Again, none of these decisions really affect the overall quality of the PV you are ordering, but those little things can make your experience much better (or worse:p) depending on your personal preferences.
