I don't notice warmer vapor... touching the carto it doesn't seem to get nearly as hot as a LR atomizer. Why, not sure. It goes through the juice though and why I have a head buzz from them...

As far as battery life it seems to me that it will reduce the lifespan on the battery mostly because they drain more juice. Any battery can only be charged so many times, and they gradually lose their ability to retain a charge....Whether they actually ruin an ego battery... not sure.

The way I look at it is this. If they reduce the life on my battery - but I like them - then so what. I will simply buy more batteries. If they ruin them - then that would be a different matter.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like they're ruining eGo batteries, according to Squids' msg above -- LR atties, that is. Don't know about the LR cartos.

I'll just put two eGos in my mouth if I feel the need to get a bigger throat hit. Have been doing that lately, and it's pretty cool.

Ah, that's what I thought I've been reading - that the LR atties will kill eGos. Ok, thanks, but no, thanks!

If the 5v PT didn't agree with you then your not missing out on anything really. The LR's definitely shorten the lifespan of the battery some people seem to be less lucky then others though, I've used one on my 650PT quite a bit already still going but I don't use it everyday like some people do.

The LR atomizers i have get very hot... these do not. I can't even feel any heat difference touching them vs. standard carto...

Edit: Ohh and tons of vapor...

With heavy vaping I've come close to burning myself with the stainless steel CE2's @ 2.4ohm.

Something about a circuit inside the ego that the LR atty's can fry, not just the reduced life from more frequent chargings, I try to use my regular 650 ego instead of my PT now LR vaping I only paid $11 for it so wont be as bad as killing my $27 PT ego.

Yea, I know, but I really liked using the 5v PT, when they were new and before I realized the warmer vapor was slowly burning the tissues inside my mouth, throat and chest -- like when taking a bite of hot food and burning your roof or tongue. This is similar, but it's a gradual burning that I didn't realize until the pain was very noticeable about 2 to 3 days later. Now, I can't use them for more than a drag now and then.

I bruise easily due to the Coumadin, Plavix, and aspirin I have to take every day, so I'm wondering if that's why my mouth is so sensitive to the warmer vapor (also sensitive to too much Glycerin, due to the sugar or sweet stuff in the VG).

Also, I've discovered that drinking lots of water when I have that burning pain eases it a lot, so it could be just a matter of not drinking enough water and drying out too much.

LR atty's have been killing peoples ego's lately, I've been using one sporadically for a few weeks, MistressNomad has a thread in the general ecig discussion about LR killing her new 900 after just a week.. Just get a regular ego quick charger they run about $6, be a good idea to have a 2nd back up one though.
Oh great. I just placed the order, and now it's telling me that it's too late to edit it.
Oh well. 7 bucks down the drain.:)

You may want to get a box of these Boge LR carto's Squid. I can touch the carto after vaping and it isn't even warm really... My LR atomizers when touched they are hot. Totally different..

Just looked at the box... they are 2.0 Ohm...

510 LOW RESISTANCE BOGE SOFT CAP Blank Cartomizers
The stickers on the carto's make a difference I think I would of got the black ones if I'd known the SS would be so much hotter. I'll stick with the 2.4 CE2's with the bottle mod alot less heat and more juice capacity, besides I imagine the filler is alot more likely to burn accidentaly on those boges.

Ok I got the 900 battery, the rapid charger and the LR atty.
guess I'll throw the atty away.

Save it for a future purchase or still use it just not something I would use as my main atty. I'm more into carto's but I'll drip for a little while with the LR sometimes in the morning, or in evening the LR atty goes great when your having a beer.

No, your 510 PCC won't work with any eGo battery.

Once you own eGo batteries, you'll have no use for a PCC. They're basically worthless, since the eGo batteries will last for many hours before needing to be recharged and will recharge in 3 hours using the eGo fast charger plugged into your computer USB port or a USB wall adapter.

No fast charge, that's for sure, but for overnight charging. I've only got so many outlets in my house, so I got one of the multi-chargers. I didn't shop well enough though, I think I paid $10 more. LOL

don't forget to buy a cone to go over your atty

The cone is optional, actually. I don't use mine, except for looks. I'd rather not use it because the draws are harder when it's screwed on. I actually sent two cones back to cignot.com when I first ordered my two 1000mAh eGos. Now I only have one silver cone that came with the 1300mAh kit, and I hardly ever use it.

You know, I take mine off sometimes for an easier draw, but I like how it muffles the sound from the atty a bit. I'm too lazy, but I bet taking a couple mms off the top of the cover would open air-flow since it tapers out as you go towards the threads. Maybe I'll have to pick up a few extras and grind different lengths.
