Hi vets,

I'm contemplating to get hold of an eGO Riva or a Joyetech eRoll or an eCab from CanVape. I'm a new vaper, presently on a cig-a-like and would like to have it that way for sometime till I mature (or be comfortable) with mods. And I need portability.

I know, have read the post that the Vision Spinner (or eGo Twist) is a better beginner's choice, but for some reason I'm not yet ready for a larger device (probably I'm scared of my folks, especially my wife, raising her eyebrows thinking I'm onto something else!). And I definitely cannot afford a ProVari (the current veteran's choice) any way.

So, (A)am I thinking right? Or should I must go with 'variable voltage' mods now?

And if I should be Ok with the above three, (B)which one should I pick? Riva, eRoll or eCab? I've read good things on all the three from u sweet folks and that confuses me further.

Pls advice.

The ego riva is not much smaller than the twist or spinner. So if te size of those is too much, don't get a riva either. If you want to keep the cig size, the eRoll is a great device. It hits like an ego c but is almost as small as a cig. It's the best performing cig sized device out there, IMO. The pcc is smaller than an iPhone and lasts for ten hours or so.

Mini ego has VV avail. The eRoll is win win except pricey. I love t to death. Have like 10 batteries, three PCC 2 dozen attes and 30 plus tanks. Awesome fun but don't use thicker juices. It's a little finicky on juice but most stuff is.

And, I guess I'm definitely bending towards eRoll now!

There is a vision spinner battery with 400mah, which would be smaller like a mini ego, and give you the Variable Voltage like the ego twist. Just read around the forums and get a feel of the different types of ecigs available. There is a lot of good advice here.

Personally I love the eRoll, and barely use my other stuff since I got it. But you should read up on it first, as well as some of the others mentioned here.

When I started I was obsessed and stubborn about cigarette sized, they were all pretty bad at the time (close to 2 years ago) and I eventually went to Ego size. However I've heard the eRoll is one of the better ones out now ... In my opinion I would say better than the eCab, because of the smaller size and ability to charge it assembled in the case, instead of having to take it apart and charge batteries with the eCab. Downsides (from watching reviews) to the eRoll is that the case doesn't hold much liquid - so you need to carry a bottle or extra tanks around separately, the air hole can be covered by your finger easily and the atomizer heats up quite a bit.

Another cigarette sized kit to look into isn't the Redds Kit from happyvaper, it's a cartomizer system which is a bit annoying IMHO because you need to keep buying them every so often, the battery doesn't charge fully assembled and it's even more pricey, but the case does hold more cartomizers with liquid.

Personally I'm leaning toward to the eRoll and will probably pick one up at some point to try to get something smaller again. And for bigger devices I'd recommend the twist with variable voltage and clearomizers like the Kanger T2 or Vivi Nova - possible the Kanger T3 or eVod, but I haven't tried either yet. I also don't know anything about that Riva kit.

If you haven't watched Vaporchase, he's a good Canadian reviewer, that I know has reviewed virtually everything mentioned in this post; VaporChase - YouTube

When I first got into vaping, I too was very concerned about size. I wanted to keep to something that looked like a cigarette. For the most part, I am over that.
These days, I have a bunch of full sized mods, a dozen eGos and am starting to build my own wood mods.
I use them all at home but only ever use eGos when I go out. 3 of 4 eGos with clearos and I am good for a day or two.
They are inexpensive enough that I am not concerned about losing or breaking one and offer a variety of flavours.
So far, I have lost one and never broken any.
My feeling is that you should get whatever works for you as long as you feel comfortable with using it all the time.

Thank u folks!

I went ahead and purchased a Joyetech eRoll kit today, from their retail store. And as many opined earlier, besides the scores of positive reviews it has, I'm lovin' it! Looks great, feels great, works great; and wow - what a form-factor!

Till now I've vaped two refills and my battery isn't depleted yet. Got some 12mg, 70/30 (PG/VG) juices; and am at top-of-the world with awesome TH plus lungs-full of vapour... didn't imagine it'd be so wholesome... this is indeed a techno-marvel... a very state-of-the-art device. I'm contemplating writing a separate "user review", probably after a few more days of use.

Thanks everyone for ur wholehearted support. ECF sure rockzzzzzzzzzzzz...

That's awesome! Welcome to the club, and I'm glad you're loving it so far. There is a large eRoll thread full of helpful tips, so check it out.
