I posted a similar thread under APV but I think it was the wrong sub forum, and the X6 is basically a vv ego so I thought I'd redo the thread and post it here in the hopes of actually fixing this thing.

As the title says, ego style battery just stopped working. Lights up and turns on, but won't charge, wont fire my tanks, tried the center pin raising fix, tried cleaning with alcohol, no reading on the multimeter... I know the multimeter works because it shows a current for my other batteries.

What are my options? Perhaps something between the battery and the center pin is bad? Because the button lights up, but no current when I test the centerpin.

Just received it in the mail yesterday... worked like a dream up until an hour ago. Stopped working for 5, i fiddled with the way the tank was set, started working again, now it's gone. Doubt it had anything to do with the way the tank was set, cause during the five min it stopped working, it wouldnt work on any of my tanks

If it's dead though... why does the button light?

My guess is the connector pin in the ego got squished too far into the battery. This happens when you over-tighten the juice attachment on the battery.

The fix? Take a small tipped screwdriver and tease it up a couple of milimeters.

Edit: just re-read your OP. I see you've tried this already. I'd give it another go, and if you still have the issue contact your vendor for a replacement. Unless you physically mutilated the center pin trying to adjust it, it should not void the warranty. Center pin adjustments are an expected practice.
