ego-t 1100 mah bat charging for 8 hours is that normal?

using a wall charger not a computer
second time trying to give it a full charge
the package says charging time should be 2-3 hours
i think the battery is a knock off cause the button is blue as oppose to white
only paid 6.99 for it on ebay
packaged as [ CE4 Electronic Cigarette ]
just started vaping last week
any insight would be a big help thanks for reading

Check if the adapter tells you how much its giving out - usually they are 500mah or 1amp

With a 500mah adapter should take 2-3 hours.

Ive had adapters that don't show when an ego battery is charged and some that say its charged when its not.

The blue button means nothing - many Egos have blue buttons.
Have you tried disconnecting it from the charger, count to ten and then reattach? Also try turning it off then on again (5 clicks) - sometimes this can reset them.

Hello Louie, Welcome to ECF, The thing about ebay is you can never be 100% sure of what your getting unless its from a trusted vendor, i would go to your local vape shop and see what they have, you can proly get a kit fairly cheap and more likely authentic, not to mention if there are issues you can take it back to them,

also noticed the battery turns itself on when plugged in

What power source is the charger connected to? I notice my EVOD (eGo-style) battery charges a lot faster on the wall wart than it does when I just plug it into my computer's USB port.
