i have 2 ego-t batterys, a big one and small one

the big one all of a sudden got it's threading damaged somehow. the only way this could have happened is from screwing and unscrewing smok ego mega dual coil cartos onto and off the battery.
what kind of metal is this threading made of? how could it be so malleable?

smok cartos screw just fine onto the small battery
the big one is having serious issues.
these batteries have a warranty?

let me emphasize that this battery has not been damaged or dropped or anything like that..i am pretty upset that a batterys threading could be so easily damaged.

That's odd since these Smok ego mega dual coil seem to be made of aluminum and should be softer then steel. The first one I got was defective in a different way but in the same area.So Im thinking anything could happen in production. Really crappy it happened to you. If these batteries are JoyeTech then using different atomizers/cartos then what come with it voids the warranty. If it were me I would try and retap it. Again that is if it were me, Im no expert at any of this.

All of the Connections I have on my PV are Nickel Plated Brass. And whereas Nickel Plating is Relatively Hard, Brass isn’t. And the Nickel is only about 200,000 Atoms thick on the Brass.

That and a 510 Connector Thread Form, or Any e-Cigarette Connector Thread Form, isn’t very forgiving if the Threads are cut Poorly.

It doesn’t take much to Jack-O-Late a Connector Thread. Sounds like you got a hold of a Carto that had Slightly Wacked Thread on it or that was Out of Round.

Not much you can do about it except Clean the Thread with a Q-Tip and some Isopropyl Alcohol and then put some Nolox on it.

After a year or so of use they all wear out. Repeated screwing and unscrewing of atomizers just takes its toll on the threads.

Stainless steel would be a better alternative. That way you wear out the atomizer threads, but they are consumable items. The eGo is a use and toss battery. I've had them last anywhere from 6 to 12 months before failing to fully charge.
