Same thing was happening to me on 2 Ego-Ts and it turned out to be a broken wire connection to the contact disk.
guess i am on my own to solder.... never done this before but i am going to borrow an iron from a coworker. any suggestions?
Same thing happened to one of mine, an easy fix depending on your skill. I guess basic electronics class in high school paid off for me.
To get the top cap off just use a pliers and grab it around the small part then wiggle and pull but go slow. You dont want it to come out too fast and pull everything with it, plus you want to study how the parts are in there so it can be put back together.
The circuit board/switch is in the top cap housed in a plastic piece, the plastic button just floats in the top cap and is held in by the board assembly. The circuit board in the plastic piece will slide out of the top cap then the board can be slid out of the plastic piece it is housed in.
If the top contact wire is broke you will have to de-solder the wire from the board, pull the top contact out of the top cap but not the silicone seal. Then solder the wire to the top contact, put it back into the top cap then solder it back to the board.
Make sure there is not a big glob of solder where the wire is soldered to the top contact less is more, if there is too much there wont be enough room to get the board assembly put back in the top cap.
The bottom cap can be pulled off with pliers to see if the negative wire is still on, but this was OK with mine.
The top contact repair can be done without pulling everything apart, you dont need to pull the bottom off, pull the battery out etc. start at the top and if that is the problem and you get it soldered back together, test it by touching the top cap to the tube with a carto or
tank on to see if you get vapor or here sizzling.
If it works, press the top cap back into the tube, it should fit tight. mine has been off twice and it still fits tight. The plastic fire button should line up with the e-Go T logo before being pressed back into the tube. Unless you dont care about that, but doing it you may as well do it right.
This is an easy fix... i think it took me longer to type it than to actually do it.
Also when mine started acting up, upon pressing the button it would stay lit after releasing the button then flash three times - no vapor. That was because the wire was off the top contact and touching the negative inside of the top cap causing a short.
