Right now I am enjoying vaping with my ego-T batt and 510 carto. When I think I can handle the possible bout with frustration, I will dig out the tanks, penetrate them myself and see if that helps. I didn't want to do that until I had feedback. Thank you for the speedy response. Maybe I haven't wasted my money after all. Fingers crossed.

Just thinking, if you puncture the tanks manually there is a chance the hole might be too large or in the wrong place. It has to be pretty accurate to prevent leaking. If the operation is difficult for you I would suggest removing the atty from the battery, then set the atty on a sturdy flat surface. Then you can push down on the tank while seating it into the atty. There is a definite "chunk" sound and feeling when the tank is all the way in. You can rotate the seated tank to line up with your battery button anyway you like.

I agree with kufu kahn, I would want to puncture them on the atty as it's designed to do.

Here's how I did mine:

put a tank into the atty without the battery attached.

put the atomizer on the table flat with the tank sticking up.

using my palm, push down hard on the tank (put your weight on it) until it pops on. If you have sensitive palms maybe you can protect your palm with a spoon or something.

Yes, you need to puncture them on the atty and you must really push them down hard till they click. Don't feel bad, I burned up the wicks in two attys before I figured this out. In a way I'm glad I did. They way they worked after that made me hunt up info about getting to and adjusting the wicks. That's really something you need to know with this system. Expensive lesson though.

True. That's what I meant but you said it better than I did. It may be perforated but not completely punctured all the way through so you might need to help it a bit.

If you make your own puncture, it won't line up with the atty and will probably leak. I've read that you should use the same atty & tank together because each atty makes a unique puncture.

That makes complete sense but, I have used a tank that was punched in one atomizer in another atomizer with no leaking problems. I might have gotten lucky.

I'm at the point where I'll believe anything if it gets my tank working. If someone told me to spin three times and touch my toes and my tank won't leak I'd be tempted to give it a try.

I am a half blind old person so I look at everything with a magnifying glass... One thing I saw while experimenting was a tiny sliver of plastic perched on the edge of my wick spike. It was a sliver from the tank hole, like a tiny smiley face. When I put the tank on for a second or third time it cut the hole bigger by trimming a hunk out of the side. I am pretty sure it would have leaked, so I just tossed it. Could yours be the same?

I don't know why it happened but it hasn't done it again now that I am more careful about getting things straight before pushing it together.

When you talk about leaks are you speaking about into the atty or into the bottom of the tank? Every couple days I get a leaky tank. The bottom parts of the tank mouthpiece fill up with e-liquid and when I try to vape I get liquid in my mouth. I find it so disturbing that I just set the tank aside. I haven't attempted to re-use a flooded tank yet. The clear ones are the only ones that I can see the e-liquid before I end up tasting it. The black and blue tanks still flood but they tend to sneak up on me.

I think it would be pretty hard for the liquid in the tank to get into the mouth piece as they are separate channels. The stuff I see in the air passages seems to be condensation from human breath and vapor dissipation. I have taken out both of he mouth piece baffles and it seems to dry quickly with no real build up and a Q-tip fits in there ok for removal.

The system works ok for me, it's just that there is no flavor!! I want a bonfire of TOBACCO flavor.

Mine have been working well, but I occasionally get the burnt atty taste (I drip on the atty and vape til it's gone) but the flooding mouthpieces are disgusting. I wonder if removing the two inner parts will stop the floods? =/

You might want to adjust the wick. I had the same problem, where the liquid will come up from the passage way and into my mouth. It took me several attempts to adjust the wicks and it finally worked. If you still have warranty on your tank atty, you might want to contact the supplier to make sure that won't void the warranty before attempting.
The first attempt, I try to adjust the wick w/out the plate removal. It was hard to see, and I actually got it worst because I didn't know what I was doing. Then I just remove the plate, so it was much easier to see what I was doing.

Good luck and hope this helps
