Ego-T - how often do you need to replace the atomizers? batteries?

I'm new to vaping. I started with a two piece system and it's okay. I've read great things about the Ego-T and I tried the Ego model at a friends house. Totally better throat hit and vapor than mine. I want one, but I got a little nervous when I read that the atomizers only last 14-60 days (huge range there. Don't want to have to worry about a new atomizer every 2 weeks) and the batteries only last 90 days. Are these super-cautious estimates from the manufacturer? I'd be interested to hear feedback from people who have experience with this model. I was also looking at the Vapor Canon from Vapor Nine but it doesn't seem to have a replacable battery. Hmmmmm.

My atty died today and I've been using it non-stop because I gave the other one away for about 3 weeks. I don't know if that's good/bad. Bad for me. I was hoping it'd last longer than 3 weeks.

My passthru also died:facepalm: and I've had that since I started vaping. My other two batteries are still going strong.

I've been vaping almost 2 months. Maybe someone who's been at this longer can give you some insight.

You should wait for others to answer of course as I am too new

I have had mine for 3 total weeks, and vaping constantly with it for 2, stopped smoking totally 12 days ago with my last cigarette ( I cut down more and more and more in that first week ) 12 days ago.

Still using all the original stuff, atomizers and batteries, I do clean them once a week, I have thrown exactly 1 of the 5 tanks it shipped with away ( leaking a lot into the mouthpiece ) But I think I may have caused that issue myself, I pull lighter on it now longer than I originally did and no other tank has started doing that.

I have ordered and received a 3rd atty ( as I know they wont last forever ) and another battery as my wife started using the second unit that came in my kit.

it has been 3 weeks, and other than that one tank ( you can get 10 of them for like $10 ) I am still using all the original stuff.

I don’t know how long they will last.... am watching for that myself and looking forward to what others respond to you.

8th day on the tank system and all is good...no leaks, no burnt tastes, no sucking juice into my mouth, and pretty consistent hits regardless of the tank level....had been blowing an atty a week on the regular Ego system, so hope these do last a big longer, but for me the tank system has been a winner.

I've caught some different threads with people having issues, and I'm starting to wonder if the people having problems all got theirs from a couple of vendors (or even the same vendor), since some vendors are 'private labeling' these even though they're coming from the same manufacturer...maybe a couple of the big vendors got a bad batch of them or something.

My Inferno batteries are four and a half months old now and work just fine. I've noticed a little bit of a drop in vape time from them, but I'm also using LR attys a lot more often now.

Your atty will always be a crap shoot. I've got a three month old Magma 510 , a Cisco thats around 6 weeks old, a tanko that five weeks old, and a .... load of month to two month old clearos that all work fine. Then again, I've had clearos that cracked as soon as I touched them, r4s that were burned up after one fill, and attys that bonked on the first couple hits. Atomizers and cartomizers in all forms are a consumable accessory, just use them until they no longer produce a satisfactory vape or die and then replace them. I plan to go through at least two attys or ten to fifteen clearos in a month. If I don't well then I have extra stock for next month. Always have a few spares on hand.

My eGo-T atomizer lasted about three days before something going wrong. It works fine but produces a terrible burnt taste. However, this problem may have been caused by the juices I've been using. I really don't know yet...

There is a youtube video explaining this problem as well as offering a possible fix. YouTube - Review: eGo-T eCig from Ovale

Used 4 t attys so far:
1st one: last 17 days worked fine entire time, then died no heating what-so-ever
2nd one: lasted 11 days, worked fine til day 4 then vapor production wasn't as good, by day 11 hard draw no much vapor, cleaned it, same condition
3rd: lasted 6 days, worked fine til day 5, vapor died off, day 6 completely dead
4th: last 10 days, worked great for 3-4 days, vapor died to about 60% tried cleaning, no improvement, died day 10

Juice: 90% pg, clear unsweetened
Cleaning method: remove needle plate, clean in hot distilled water, soak atty in hot vinegar, flush with water, dry burn, rinse, dry burn to dry.

That ends my adventure into the tank =0

Have had my joy ego kit for 6 weeks now and I got the tank atomizer a week later. Haven't had any problems with the battery, but I did break my tank atomizer while trying to adjust the wick. I had really bad leaking problems and full tanks would just drain out into the battery or leak back into the mouth piece. On my second tank atomizer now and everything is going good. I also do not clean my atomizers anymore after having a normal atomizer die after it's first cleaning. I just blow the excess juice out of the tank atomizer before putting a fresh tank on and run some flavourless PG through it to give it a cleaning.
