I proclaimed a while back that ego-T was not as good as dripping but better than cartomizers. After using the ego-T for a while, I have found some problems... I am wondering if anyone else has had them...

1 - the ego-T atty floods. A lot. What I mean by flooding is that under that cover and spike is a bunch of metal mesh ... well welcome back old friend flooded atty. After about a week with my ego-T as my main vape, I noticed gurgling and and dry hits... soon I found myself constantly blowing out more liquid than I used. Not good.

2- cleaning. I have never cleaned an atomizer more than this thing. After the first week of loving the idea of the tank and infrequent fills, I noticed it started to get bound up. SO I went with some cleaning methods .. daily ... after cleaning you would get maybe half a day worth of good hits, then back to cleaning. Not good.

3- PG/VG considerations. I use only 100% VG myself, as it gives the best mix of vapor and flavor in my opinion. Unfortunatley, the tiny wick on an ego-T cannot accomadate my 100% VG. The atty floods as mentioned, the wick cannot wick, and its is a failure in this facet as well.

The bottom line after a month of use is that its a great idea, but not well executed. I have gone back to cartomizers, of which I have wasted far less liquid .. and dripping on a 306 atty, which is always good.

Hope this helps.

I think it's well documented that they don't work well with anything more than 40% vg. I think it's a shame for you that it didn't work out. I on the other hand have had a great experience with these. and to be fair I hardly clean them, once a week if they're lucky. and since I always need one to vape one doesnt get cleaned when I clean the others. My first tank atty (and most pre-dominant one) has been cleaned twice in 2 months. And thats just a 15 min soak in warm water. I'm on the brink of buying a GGTS with AVSv3, but have found myself holding back because these things work for me..............I'm sure I will get one soon though as I'm itching for a new toy :)

I noticed much the same as the OP with some subtle differences. Mine never flooded, dry hits were more the norm for me. Even using mostly 80/20. But the cleaning sent me over the edge, as I was seeing the need for increased frequency with less and less positive results. Somehow I had a better feel for how to fill, hold and vape the LR Mega atty for a consistent vape. But with that the surprise leaks got to me, which is the only reason I ever bothered with the tanks.

Oh well, all in all id say the tanks were worth a shot, except for the price, and will serve nicely for the occasional backup.

If it's flooding, you're pulling too hard.

If it's dry hitting, you're not pulling hard enough.

I vape 100% VG only, been a month now with no real "throw it away" problems. Everything's been fixable.

However, I was only vaping for 4 or 5 days before I switched to the tanks. I'm sure there's something "amazing" I'm missing out on with dripping or cartos or this or that, but in this case ignorance is bliss and I'm more than satisfied with the tanks. Large capacity and easy refilling.

Going on a month with my Tank system. Use it all day long. Have two attys in weekly rotations, with a 15min. hot water soak for the one I switch from. Never had a flood. Never had a dry hit. It only "pulls hard" toward the end of the last day. Never had a leak. I remove the chad on new tanks. I refill my carts by "popping the cap" (no syringe). Using the same 4 tanks I started with, just wash them once a week in hot water. Basically everything people are saying NOT to do or "THIS" will happen. So far, manufacturers instructions have proven quite accurate.

I drip in the evenings, and while the flavor is a bit more muted with the Tanks, the TH and vapor production is about equal.

Tried cartos, what a PITA! Seriously? You expect me to hit that tiny little hole with a flexible 22guage flexible hose? LOL!

Love my Tanks!

YIPEE!!! Home at last
That why I love my feeder Mods, fill 6ml bottle vape till its done, quick fill, change batt vape till its done, reg Atty or LR full flavor, no muted taste, These Ego-T's still need some improvement before they can become an all day vape for me.!
I will second this one .... I have been a big proponent of the eGo T even as late as today. I still llike them but I have been using The Dripper (top feeder) and am really happy with it. Originally purchased to give the Ts a break it might be reversed the Ts may have just become my backup.

I still say stainless steel for the tanks, 3ml tanks to help the gravity of the liquid a bit and longer in between refills, a bit wider of a pin and wick inside. I would love to see how this would operate.

This would be nice to see as a small change to these Ego-T's, wished I could give it a test drive

my experience is a lot closer to the original poster. the fact that people have such widely variable experience seems to indicate either serious variance and QC problems and/or excessive sensitivity to everyday variations in vaping behaviour and juice selections.

I spent about $50-60 on 4 atomizers and 10 tanks and gave it a fair test--my main problem was consistently leaking and flooding--never dry. lasted 3 weeks plus i still have one servicable atty $20 a week plus juice. pretty pricey but if it hadn't been MORE messy and hassle than dripping i think i would have re-ordered.

i think a little bit more engineering and QC will solve ssome of these problems so in a month or so i will go back and buy some LR atomizers. If nothing else (and i used them as such when frustrated--they are a retty handy drip atomizer and the atomizer itself holds as much vapable juice as a lot of cheapie carts.

Ive not had many of the issues others have. The only downside to my Ego-T has been diminished flavor. Vapor production is really good, battery life is excellent. Its nice to not have to fiddle with it, and its a good go to, when your on a long drive.
I have had one bad atty that was giving off consistent dry burns. I put it to the side, and will try to mess with the wick.
I haven't had leaks.
Its a good addition to my PV collection, but not perfect for me due to loss of flavor.
I do like it though, looking at trying the mega atty/carts combo, and mega cartos for it.
One thing that I like about it that i don't see a lot of people comment on, it the feel of the coating on it. I really like the way it feels in your hand.

I've noticed the loss in flavor as well as had a few leaking issues and dry burns. I've adjusted the wick with some success on the dry burns. I agree this is the right idea but needs further development.

I'm trying the 510 Tanks which should arrive today and if those aren't quite what I'm looking for I may consider giving the Gogo a shot. I feel like some type of box/feeder mod is going to ultimately be what I end up with. I like the idea of a 6mil tank and battery with standard or LR atomizers.
